    My vote would be no they wouldn't have fessed up. They wouldn't have necessarily known about it though either since they didn't know until I brought it in.

        I'd encourage everyone reading this thread to get to know your dealer's service manager and mechanics. If they get to know you and think of you as an appreciative customer, they will tell you all kinds of things you'd otherwise never find out. Think of it as having access to someone like lee or FIC at your local shop.

          I would add into this that you need to go into the dealership often and just talk with them. It is amazing how often I go into the shop (2-3 times a month) just to say hello. Unfortunately, lately mine has been about warranty issues that s/b recall issues with the racks.

              Ya I am personal friends with both of my dealer's sons (went to school w/ both of them) and that really helps. They are always looking out for my boat when it's in the shop and that makes me feel good!
