Doesn't look like you need campers.... Looks like you need firefighters.

Okay, I am joking but wild fires are no fun.. How much containment do they have?

I was there last week and drove over the pass to Helena from Missoula. They looked big then. Have the gained any ground or are they still working against the weather? I thought for sure I was in California with all the smog I mean fire smoke. And in Missoula they even had flower girls dancing on the city hall steps.

As unfortunate as that fire is, credit has to be given for the nice picture. Just pretend that it is a pretty sunset.

I might not be in the same line of thought as everyone else, but I think it is awesome when fires, floods, hurricanes, tornados and such hit. I also think it's funny when people that live in areas prone to those types of natural occurances get all teary eyed at what they lose. Kind of like living 12-20 ft. below sea level in a bowl surrounded by levees and a CAT5 hurricane hits. Don't build/buy there if you can't deal with it. I guess it all depends on the ideaology of the people living there. We don't hear much about tornadoes in OK, or hurricane Rita (or any other) in SouthWest La (where I live), but in New Orleans, or Malibu, or Santa Barbara, mudslides, hurricanes, tornadoes and all make front page like it such a tragedy. Build housing in a bowl on the coast and what did you expect to happen.....in the meantime, raise my insurance 50%, add a "hurricane an wind/hail" deductable of 5% (so basically the policy now only covers fire and theft), file for bankruptcy so I pay for my roof out of my own pocket even though I have had 0 claims for 5 years, and tack on a "Louisiana Insurance Rebuild" fee, to pay for uninsured or homeowners that have credit so bad they can't get insurance or some crap.....yeah that's fair.

                OK Rant off.

The company I work for used to be in firefighting (sling loading water buckets under KMaxxes), and I have access to some cool photos....I'll see if i can post a couple. One is deer in a stream with a fire BLAZING in the background.....pretty awesome.

                Edit
Here's the pic, sorry it is so compressed. You may have seen it, it has been around the internet for about 5 years.

Yup, that aircraft is a lot safer. All you have to worry about is air sickness.
