I never bring bottles on the boat, with the exception of the Jose Cuervo pre-mixed margaritas. Bottles tend to break in the invevitable turbulence we encounter.

Interesting
I have yet to break a single bottle on the boat. I even went to the extent to install a bottle opener on the port side tower upright to necessitate quicker access to refreshment:
We always have about 20 koozies on the boat too so maybe that helps keep the glass in one piece as the bottles bounce around in the cupholders.Attached Files

Well, my board racks used to be mounted there. They were the crappy wakedesigns racks. When I took them off to get them replaced under warranty I decided to buy Monster racks instead, which are far superior. They would not mount to the same holes so I decided to just mount them on the tower tubing like normal, that left holes in both uprights to be used. I finally started measuring things with the same spacing and bar type bottle openers were exactly right. They were like $3 from a restaurant supply store so I bought a couple. I have one for each side, but only mounted the port one so far. I'll put the starboard one on eventually. Down side is they are zinc coated cast iron, so they will eventually rust, but I found some brass ones and am on the look-out for stainless. The biggest downside to boating in salt water is you have to find everything in stainless or aluminum. Sorry for taking this fairly off topic, just wanted to share. It still involves drinkin, that bottle opener opened the beer I was drinking on the board.
Upon digging a little, starr(top link), just started making stainless openers, looks like I'll be buying a couple.
