I'm not sure how much the exact one on my trailer is rated for but it looks just like this: (Fulton XLT Series)

Don't feel special. I did the same thing. Tore the prop up and destroyed the trailer bunk as the prop chewed, clawed, gnashed, gouged, splintered, shattered, ripped, and othewise took a bite out of the wood.

It was not a happy day at all. Along with that the front brakes on my truck were dragging because of a botched pad replacement by a mechanic (pinched the brake line). This necessitated about $500.00 in repairs with new pads, rotors, and brake lines. Plus the bleeding needs to be done by the onboard computer.

The clawed bunk was the least of my problems.

I feel fortunate to only pay what I did. I was thinking it was going to be a lot more from the sound the prop made when it was still in the water.

How in the heck did you guys do that? I get momentum to get it on the trailer and then kill the throttle until it situates itself and then throttle it on the rest of the way, that way the prop isn't turning while the boat is sitting crooked.

Are these all universal mounting winches? Will that fit my DHM?

            Thanks for the link.

Yep, should bolt right on. They hae bigger ones if you wanna spend $100+, but I find that for a 22' boat, this is fine.

Mine was simple, I did exactly what you did by killing the throttle, the boat veared left and the trailer was too deep. Put it in reverse and the idiot on the startboard side (he had his boat tied to the dock) was close enough to me backing up that I put it back into gear and that is when I nicked it.... Of coarse I was going off angle again....

DOH! I see how that could easily happen now...funny that I was told that the prop couldn't hit the trailer.....guess that's not true!

They lied to you then because it can hit the trailer if you are not angled right.

Okay, you busted me... It was my fault that it happened and I know next time to yell at the idiots that tie up their boat to the docks and tell them to take them out into the middle of the 5 MPH also. j/k but it is my fault.
