There are some areas of Idaho that are not so cold. Boise is one of them. It wouldn't surprise me if Owyhee does not usually freeze in the winter. You still get too cold for the ordinary man, but there are good days in the winter when you could go out as long as you are dressed well. You could always just hook up on the snake river!

On the other side of the state, in Pocatello, where I used to live, is another matter.

I dunno, tall, I was in Boise in February last year and it was pretty darn cold (single digits at night and low 20s during the day). I wasn't thinking about getting out on the boat

Welcome Tige20i! The boat looks great, as well as the family. Nice wake on that boat. My neighbor just moved up to Boise, he really likes it but we miss them.

If there is no ice on the water and the wind is calm, it's a good time to go out on the water. We have had really great days on Thanksgiving (and the day after), Christmas Eve, Christmas, and New Years.
