Hey, don't knock it. One of my neighbors dropped off a really old trick ski she used to use. She's older than me. The kids want to try it to see if they can ride it.

Love to see pic's of kids learning to barefoot. By far the coolest thing to do on the water. Sorry all you wakeboarders. It's fun but anybody can grab a board and ride. But it takes serious nuts to get out there on your feet. It also takes really flat water.

Speaking of flat water, if you took water over the bow from your own wake, you did a major power turn. Power turns are bad, that needless roller goes down the lake forever. The only boaters who like those our tubers. If you pull off all power until your boat almost stops before your turn, no rollers and no waves over the bow, better for everybody on the lake.

I'll be footing behind my new 2008 21I Sat morning on Pickwick lake in Tenn. I'll post some picks next week. Keep your toes up!

Yes we were tubing although it was not glass, it was midday and really choppy out. We were making a left turn towards the mainchannel and a kid fell off the tube. We stopped turned around like we normally would and became face to face with the wake before we turned. Bam we were soaked.

Powerturns are especially bad in tight quarters...they should be banned on Lake Austin.
