I'm not sure it's the one that came on the boat.

I can tell you when the boat is full with gas and beer the hole shot is not as good.

The only time I've skied is with two people in the boat and about 1/2 tank of gas and no beer, that could be it.
Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

True. We did still have water spitting out the sides from the tanks being full from wake surfing. But I think I will still down prop to the 537. I use that up at high altitudes and it works okay. But if I leave the 381 on there man the boat is a tank in the water. So down here it might really rip someone out of the water. I just have to watch the RPM's and I will loose about 8 miles an hour on top end. But I might have a great hole shot so it is a trade off.

Now I am wondering why my boat came with the 537. This is the second time I have heard that the prop is a high elevation prop but I got it for boating at 80 feet elevation in Sacramento here. No complaints by me though...

How often do you drive your boat at its top speed?
I would go for the hole shot..IMO

Stock comes with a 537 unless you had a 6.0 put in which through 2005 it came with a 381. Now all boats regardless the size they are coming with the 537. for some it may be under proped and some over proped. They buy props in Bulk form ACME at TIGE' I am sure it is a cost to performance deal.

I did it last Monday to see what it could do. Four people in the boat. 5150 RMP and 44-46 MPH. So I only go 30 MPH and that is if the water is glass. Otherwise it is 20-25 max MPH. Unless I get up on a ski maybe I will push 27 or 28 if I am daring.

I think they use the 537 because the size of our boats with the PM 340. I bet they used the 381 on anhaney boat because of the extra hp. they just figured it would equal out to the same hole shot.

G you are correct. That is what I was told during my factory tour.

What is your trans ratio mine is a 1.44:1 ratio Walter V-Drive. I have heard that most are a 2:1 ratio ZF trans and Drive. That may make a big diffence. If you have the ZF yours it built by the Germans and Mine is built in America. I would perfer the ZF better technology. But I don't complain at least it is better than a reinell or four wins.

Okay, you need to bring your boat to Bakersfield so we can compare the diffrences and see it there really is somthing wrong with my boat. I have an aftermarket warranty on everything so I can get it fixed if there is. I did not buy it new so I don't know if it is the way it is supposed to be.
