    Ordering a 2008 22ve...

What's going on. As the title says I am getting ready to become a member of the Tige family barring any complications. Looking at a couple of different color combinations and options and I wanted to know what are some options that you guys would have if you could order your boat again i.e. ballast, stereo, docking lights, etc., etc.. Just wanting to know what is worth the money and what is a waste before I go into the dealing stage . Any information will be appreciated and I hope to enjoy this site for years to come. Also any other info about the boat would be great. This will be my first v drive and I hope the last for awhile. I have really done my homework and found Tige to be the best value by far, but..., you guys already know that! Thanks for all the help, and I look forward to talking to you guys later.

WET SOUNDS, PP/SPEED SET, BALLAST ARE A MUST
DOCKING LIGHTS ARE A WAST OF MONEY!!

FOR COLORS I WOULD GO WHITE TOP DECK AND HULL AND WHATEVER YOU LIKE IN BETWEEN.

    WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
WHAT DEALER ARE YOU WORKING WITH?

Definitely white deck... Colors will only cause the deck to become hot.

Not sure about the ballast's from Tige though. There are a few on this site that have been having problems with vapor lock on the pumps....

SpeedSet would be a HUGE + and suggestion.

Docking lights are pretty much worthless unless you spend all your time on the water at night. Even then they dont help much.

Don't get tige's ballast,I heard they've had some problems with it, I suggest doing your own ballast system or throwing in some fat sacs.

Also wouldn't suggest power coating your tower, as it will chip and flake when you take the tower up and down.

Also I would not suggest a Stainless Steel Rub Rail, they haven't figured it out yet.

          Bow filler
          transom light
          hatch locks
          heater

          Wetsounds

If you have the extra coin to get an aftermarket ballast system that will fit your exact expectations then I would recommend doing that. If not, then I would say DEFINITELY order your boat w/ the factory ballast. We have the factory ballast on our '07 22Ve and haven't had any problems with it. The only thing I am considering changing is adding more weight to the starboard side for surfing.

Other than that here is what I would recommend:

-Vision Air Chair (comes std. on RZ models)
            -Speed Set Cruise control
            -Bow filler cushion
            -Cockpit table
            -Wetsounds
-Fiberglass platform (we ordered teak but were informed that they ran out and had to get fiberglass and I am very glad that we did! I love fiberglass now! So easy and care-free)
            -NO docking lights
-Heater (good if you go in the winter months at all but not a necessity)
            -340HP marine power engine
-Transom grab handle (not listed as an option but not installed either)
            -Stainless Steel appearance package
            -Billet mirror assembly
            -EIDB (dual battery system)

And I would def agree w/ G-Money on the white top deck and hull. It will stay cool (top deck) and wont look ding'd up and dirty as much as a color would (hull).

Oh and check out this thread that I started a few months ago when we were getting ready to order our '07 22Vé for some good info/convo on options/colors/etc.

I would not get a Stainless Steel Pakage, that includes the Stainless steel rub rail, The screws will back out, tear up the trailer guides and scratch the gel coat. Seen it happen twice, but both were 2006's, I wouldn't take the chance

Do Not get the Stainless Steel Package

This is why I suggest NOT getting the Stainless Steel Apperance Package

I disagree with the comments on the docking lights, I love mine. They work pretty good when pulling the boat in at night. I also have the transom/under swim platform light too and think it's a cool option but it's kind of pricey. Does require the dual batteries (a good idea regardless).

Don't get the factory Bimini, heard a lot of complaints about those - get one custom made locally - your dealer can have it done and put into the price.

Vision air chair - best seat on the market in a boat, highly recommend.
Heater - wish mine was there from the factory!

Bow filler cushion for sure and Definitely, definitely get the speedset cruise!!! It is awesome.

                    Good luck!

White deck for sure, and as much white in the interior you can get as well. In Texas, any color other than white will peel skin off. Cruise control is the best option available IMO. My tower is peeling at the connection points because it is powder coated.

Wannabe, check the Tige website, the SS RubRail is a separate option from the Appearance pkg. Allthough I had some issues with my SS rub rail, I would still order my next boat with it.

                        Walk-through wind screen
                        Vission Air
                        Table
Heater & shower so you can ride year round
Z tower if your dealer does not use an aftermarket tower
                        Bow filler
                        SS pkg
                        SS rub rail
                        Fiberglass swim
                        340 hp
                        Transom remote
                        Bow cleat
EIDB (comes with ballast or Tower of Power)
                        Shark eye Nav lights
                        Speed Set

We have the custom deck color and love it. Yes it shows scratches easier and will get hotter than white but not too bad IMHO.

I have a graphite deck and have to say its not as hot as people say it is. I think the grey vinyl gets hotter than anything else. My next boat will have a colored deck as well. Personally I think ordering a custom deck color differentiates your boat. Also the SS rubrail does not cause any problems, I have a few nicks in my trailer guide pads as well but its not a big concern for me since the trailer guide pads cost a whopping 15.00.

Definetly get the Speed Set, bimini, docking lights, bow filler and heater. Also the Z tower is sturdy and looks sweet.

My dealer ordered mine without the tower, and put a Sampson tower on...love it. They also put a Rankin custom cover instead of the factory option...very nice cover. Perfect Pass is a must!

Docking Lights: they look cool when you pull in somewhere after dusk - who among us doesn't like that?

Heater: you'll use it more than you think. We run ours during early a.m. and late p.m. sessions - not just in fall or winter. I've had mine on twice this week.
