is ne1 elses tige falling apart?? i know a few weeks ago i posted about the interior tearing easily but on top of that there are other problems; the cover that goes on is useless for moorings as you can keep fenders on with keeping the cover loose, we put the cover looser to fit the fenders in and it filled with water, now one end is permanently stretched. the bimni has also stretched too due to water from rain. the cover seems to let a lot of moisure in,so the boat and the compartments are starting to smell, the metal tige symbols beside the back seats have started falling off and one of the clips for the bimni has broken. i dont mean to be a complainer but more and more things kept falling off or getting ruined easily, its not like we dont take good care of it aswell, we just didnt expect this to happen to a boat that we thought was good quality. what do you guys think is going wrong?? have we got an unusually bad boat or sumthing?? apart from that we love the boat and we are disappointed that all this has gone wrong so we would appreciate any feedback.

My metal plate also came off. For some reason, Tige doesn't use a glue or strong enought double sided tape. I glued mine back on and haven't had a problem (can't remember the glue that I used but it WAS not superglue since there are screws behind that plate.
However, I can't comment on any other issue other than my racks but those are being taken care of by Tige as I type. The cover that Tige provides isn't the best and there are some after market ones that are better. Do a search on the site, there are a few people that have listed boat cover shops on here that they like and are better than Tige's cover.
Talk with your dealer also and let them know what is going on. They should make everything right for you as well.

any type of fabric is going to stretch when stressed. Tigé uses sunbrella fabric for their bimini tops (not sure what they use for the cover), and this is what every other wakeboat manufacturer uses. If you're keeping the bumpers out, I can only assume that you're leaving it in a wet slip. I cant begin to explain how bad this is for a boat- especially a powerboat, and most especially if you're in salt water. Personally, I never EVER keep a boat outdoors (or at a minimum uncovered) for any extended length of time.
If you absolutely must keep it moored to a wet slip, get a cover that snaps around the cockpit area and bow compartment only. You cant possibly keep bumpers and water out at the same time, if the cover fastens below the rubrail. Perhaps if someone were to cut out a velcro-fastened strap that would expose the cleats, but I dunno. I just cringe at the thought of a new Tigé being left out in the elements.Freude am Fahren.

Leaving a boat out on the water in the rain is probably expecting too much out of it. Leaving the bimini up like that is even worse, of course the water will pool on the bimini and stretch it out. I do not think any inboard is going to hold up well under those circumstances. Maybe you need to switch to that Mastercraft half fishing/half wakeboat they make?Be excellent to one another.

Can you attach the bumpers to the dock instead of the boat? That would eliminate that problem. as far as pooling water on the Bimini, you should not leave them up in hte rain anyway. Most are meant to be folded up and even covered. Water on the cover.....you gotta get some poles or some PVC mentioned elsewhere on this site to make sure the water runs off.
Also, get a bilge pump that has an auto switch on it, otherwise if you leave your boat there for a week, your bilge will be pretty full.....all those little drops add up.
The next thing to do is when its warm and sunny, get that thing uncovered so it will dry out, that will eliminate the smell. My boat doesn't sit in the water, but I do take the cover off when the sun is out to let things dry out.
As far as the metal plate, get some gorilla glue. That thing will never come off again.
Long term, can you get a boat lift? Maybe even with a cover??Reality is only an illusion that occurs due to a lack of alcohol.

When you say pooling of water, you are talking about pooling on the boat cover and not the bimini, correct?

As for the mildew in your compartments, see about getting a dehumidifier product like Eva-Dry in the compartments that are closed or try opening as many compartments as possible to let things air out while the cover is on.
Finally, there's a strap/pole mechanism you should get for your cover that prevents water from pooling like you're experiencing now.
The cover is a dealer item. I know my dealer now uses Sharkskin covers from Westland. They work really well. I didn't use my original cover very much because it didn't work very well. I've also heard good things about Rankin covers.
