    Middle Windows

Do you guys keep them open when you ride or closed, we keep ours open 90% of the time and only close it in bad weater(rain) or if its really cold. We keep our boat in until late November or early December weather permetting, even if its too cold to ride it stays in as long as possible because we pay for our slip year round so it stays in and the window stays closed in those moths.

The reason I'm asking is becuase I was watching a vid some where on youtube and the vid was taken from the bow and you could see the window was closed, the caption said "Another extremely hot day in SoCal"...I just don't get it.

So open or closed for ridin'?

We ride with our window open unless it is windy. I have had the window slam twice due to the wind catching it just right, not a nice sound.

We used to always ride with it closed because the mirror was mounted there. We now have a mirror mounted to the tower, so now it is almost always open.

My mirror also came mounted there, so I moved it. I almost never ride with it closed unless it's raining or it's windy and I'm getting too much spray through the walkway. I also have a tonneau cover and walkway windscreen we'll use in those instances. The tonneau cover keeps the whole bow dry.

Open when it's hot, closed with the winds and overbow spray.
The new Tiges' have a nice securing device to keep the window open.

Closed just because we dont like it bouncing around on the side.

Our boat didn't come with the rubber stops on it so it damaged the boat when it was open.
Eventually we superglued some stops on there and now its just a habit to keep it closed.

Open, but it sure scares the crap out of you when the wind catches it just right and slams it shut. Fortunately, it has not broken like that.

The new ones have a small latch so that won't happen. Another reason my boat is outdated...

You can move your mirror. I moved mine to the driver's side. I'm pretty tall and can see pretty well. Try that before you drop some coin. However, I do like the look of the tower mounted mirrors.

Open unless it's too cold, then we close it so the wind doesn't freeze anyone.

Well, you will be purchasing a lot that will help with stuff around the boat.
