Here is my dream car. It has a price tag of 1.4 Million.
You and me both!! The Bugatti Veyron is SO sick!! 500hp and then you put that little key in the slot on the driver's seat and it unleashes 1,001hp.. I want one..
If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..
Not knocking your Z, but on your car, no. You start looking at these monster machines, it's a whole new ballgame. Sure, there are ways to make it not stick, but it'll stick a lot better than your Z. It's all relative.
The fun part would be to get to drive one of these babies on the Nurnbergring

dog brings up a great point. Supercars like the Saleen S7 that do 0-60 in 2.8 seconds definitely put the power to the ground. You can't do a 2.8 sec 0-60 while roasting the tires.. you gotta hook up and those cars HOOK UP!

Don't forget that the new Z06 has one of the fastest times around the Nurnbergring for a production car on non-race tires. Also, people have pulled high 10 second 1/4 mile passes with drag radials and 11.2's with stock tires out of the new Z06 completely stock as well - it sticks a LOT better than you are giving it credit for, it takes practice to drive it.
Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein
um not to bring up a sore point, but I don't care how much you pay for your car, 1000hp WILL NOT stick to the street. NO way no how. Tire companies do not have the ability to make it stick.
The reason the saleen is that fast is due to all wheel drive. that's also a professional driver. My z is fast yes, is it the fastest no, is it the best bang for the buck yes. Also, it's on street tires.
I would like to see a normal driver put the saleen in that fast. No way. There are guys doin the z in low 4's. but the saleen also has 800hp or what ever it is. We can argue this point all day long. The nice thing about driving those"dream" cars is to say that, I drive one. I can say I own my dream car so i'm happy.
yeah it would be sweet to own one of those amazing cars. But I still dont' bet the average driver would be any faster in a z, bugati, ferarri, pcar or anything. Just my

I want that 1001 hp in my boat. With a reinforced tower and a doctor on the boat because i may yank the boarders arms off pulling them out of the water
Again, I wasn't knocking your Z. Most of the other cars mentioned have at least double, if not more, tire patched to the ground, so that's a lot of where the extra stick comes from.
Your Z sounds like a lot of fun and since I'll probably commit myself if I ever did get to own a 962, I should probably get my head examined now
