A few weeks ago I went to Lake Powell. We drove there late Tuesday, set up camp, then spent all day Wednesday on the lake. It was me and a buddy and all of the kids. 12 people all in all on the Tige 24V. The boat performed flawlessly. Drove all the way to Rainbow bridge and back. Used up 52 gallons. Wakeboarded a little, jumped off some cliffs, ate junk food all day, fed the carp at Dangling Rope.
My favorite secret spot on the lake is Cathedral Canyon, it is the last canyon just before Rainbow bridge. It winds in a long ways, at times becoming just barely passable, and then just keeps going with 100 feet sandstone cliffs above you on each side. On Google earth, some clouds obscure where the canyon is. Forgive me for rambling, but just wanted to share. I won't be back to the internet for a few days, but will comment more once I get back.
You can see little bits of blue and red gelcoat on the sandstone walls as you go by from people who were not too careful.
