Damn Ignition switch pissing me off!!!!!

Anyone else here about to rip out their ignition switch? My damn thing keeps rotating. I get in there, manuever the wrench amongst the rats nest of wires, and get it snug. Then by the end of the day, the damn thing is upside down. Kind of hard starting the boat w/ the key upside down...lol. Anyone gotta a tip for a type of set screw or anything?

Mine did the same. All i did was thread out the thin nut behind the dash where i wanted it, tightened down the outer cap/rubber cover then used two wrenches, one on the switch shaft and one on the nut to tighten against the dash. Hasn't backed out again in two months.

Yeah but i wouldn't use red! Use blue it'll hold just fine, you'll play hell getting it off with red!

The last one I put in had a Jam nut on the front that was easier to tighten? good call on the Loc-tite, but may want to go blue.

just make sure you have the key facing the right way when you do it. We did ours and it came out sideways. Our dealer straightened it out for us though.
