I am getting a custom stereo done on the new 22V and was wondering where the sub should be put with the stock balast tanks in the way.

With the ballast it will be difficult. It all depends on the audio installer. Here is two locations/suggestions for you.

You could put it on the starboard side below the starboard rear cushion (The one behind the drivers seat) behind the ballast. There isn't much room there, but it could possibly fit.

Another suggestion is to build a small box and mount it above the ballast tank under the dash.

What about mounting a free air sub on the port side of the walkthrough? Maginet should clear the ballast.

I will keep this in my mind for a few days and if I can think of a better way, I will let you know.

After thinking about it overnight, i remembered that I did not know which ballast system you had. If its the hard tank system you could put your subs in the bow section under the cushions or behind the anchor storage.

If its a bag system, you should have room in the observer storage or under the dash mounted to the bulkhead.

I have the hard tank system, and I don't think subs under the bow cushions would be too great of an idea because they would be dampened (sp) a lot.
