Board Racks

I am looking to get some new board racks for my tower. I was wondering if anyone had any opinion about different racks.

I currently have the Phat tower with the built in racks, but don't like having the lower racks in the line of sight. When I put a board in the lower rack I can not see anything on the left or right of me.

I was looking at the monster racks http://www.monstertower.com/accessory1.html
nice looking rack that can mount on a vertical or horizontal bar. Has anyone had any experience with these racks. Not a bad price too.

Any comments.

The WakeDesigns rack is good. Can be mounted any where on the tower and holds very sturdy without a lot of shaking. They come on the new '04 towers. You can see them at WakeDesigns.com or Buywake.com has them on sale right now...

Tomorrow www.wakeboat.com opens so check that out. From what it says it is a full on wakeboarding boat shop. A boats version of BuyWake. Check that out it might be helpful. I'm sure it will have plenty of different models of brands of board racks.

The Wake Designs are nice but pricey, the Monsters price tag really gets my attention. IMO I would personally choice either Monster or the Fusion i Series, they are high quality and priced right. http://www.fusionsports.com/wakeProd...oardRacks.html

You have the new Fusion speakers and racks right? How do you like those. We looked at those a while back. Looks-wise, they look sweet.

The Speakers are top notch! IMO they are clearer and sound cleaner once cranked up compared to MB quarts. I especially like the cans they are in, they put some detail in them. I am really happy with them.

I am looking to purchase some new racks(after I get squared away on the gear!) and they will probably be either Monster or Fusion. I currently have some old Skylon pickle fork type racks and they need to be replaced.

I have the monstor tower racks. Nice racks, just DO NOT mount them on a horizontal bar. They will not work AT all. the only problem I"m having with them is even on a vertical bar, they move just a bit, make sure you tighten them down ALL the way till the clamps are as tight as possible. Then they are nice

Why can they not be mounted on the horizontal bar? What kind of problems are you have with them being mount on the horizontal bars?

They will not stay on a horizontal bar. They will slide down and not stay in the up position. The way the racks are designed they are designed so the boards force down on the clamp, so if they are monted on the horizontal bars it makes them rotate down. You canput a set screw in themif you want to drill through the racks, but that's the only way. I have them on the most vertical bar of my tower and they still rotate a bit, but if you tighten them ALL the way down, they don't move except in the Choppiest of waters.
