    HELP!!!!!

Hey everyone! I just bought a 1997 Tige PRE 2100, and it is the first "real" boat I have ever owned. SO excited! Unfortunately it didn't come with any owners manual or anything, and the lady sold it for her son, so she has no idea how anything works. I was wondering if someone could tell me what the buttons on the helm mean!

    "ACC"

    "ANC"

    "NAV"

And on the throttle there is a small black switch that goes either up or down.

I know I sound like a moron guys, but I have never seen this stuff before! Can anyone help me? Also, I have a wedge on it, and it is on hydraulic pushers, but I don't know how to lower it! Is it manual?

    Excited, but lost

    Welcome....

The wedge is your taps system that changes the size of the wake. The black switch on the throttle moves it up and down....

Tigeowners rule you must post pic's of your new boat!!!

      NAV = navigation lights
ANC and ACC I think are other lights.

Play with the boat at night so you can see what each one does. I can't remember but don't use any of these buttons because I am on the lake in daylight and off the lake in daylight.

G-Money explained the TAPS system. However, you said wedge???? Is it a plate that you are referring to? I know there is a wedge that they put on Malibu's so I am a little confused right now....

Post pic's of your boat when you can and welcome to the site. You will find a lot of good information on here to help you with your boat. Along with a lot of nice people that all have one thing in common. We all own Tige's.

Thanks a lot guys! That helps a lot so far! I am excited to hear what everyone has to offer. Thsi site is awesome!

I remebered something else...... How many plugs are there to remove after I use the boat and pull it out. Is it just the one at the stern or are there more near the middle? Thanks!

ANC will turn on your dash lighting.
NAV will turn on your bow and transom nav lights
ACC may not have anything on it. Mine didn't until I added the radio and depth sounder there.

There is a rear plug and a center one likely. The one in the center is right in the middle of the hull just forward of the engine. It is a "T" handle type if you have it.

There should only be one plug to remove. Usually above the TAPS plate.

It's weird because when I turn on the "ACC" switch there is a noise in the engine I can't identify. It even sounds like a pump or something! But I do have a "Bilge" switch on the helm. When I turn that one on, it doesn't make a noise though! What's going on?!?!

Just thought of it....could the "ACC" be connected to the on-board shower?

The pump should be near the plug hole in the bilge. Turn it on and attempt to crawl back there to see if the pump is on. Or, put the bilge plug in and turn on a hose inside your bilge. If the ACC button is turning on the bilge pump, you will see water shooting out quickly.

The bilge will be connected to the bilge pump. Likely what you are hearing with the ACC (Accessory) switch is the shower...assuming it has one. Otherwise, maybe he rigged the blower to the ACC switch?? You should also have a blower switch, but that will be pretty obvious when you turn it on.

The blower is critical to not blowing yourself up. you should run the blower for a minute or two (or 3-4) before you start the boat and after you stop it. The blower will suck any gas fumes in the bilge/engine compartment out and suck clean air in.

Congrats and welcome to the club

Your bilge pump should be in the engine compartment, about the size of a soda can.

I thought my ACC was just for accessories, so I hooked my stereo to it. Then I noticed at night, the transom light was on when my stereo was on, it was on ACC. So I moved the transom light to dock lights.
