Another question about the 07's. Does the upright come in just the plain tube or do you have to get the jewel upright for the tower?

The 07's have a lock-pin that drops in and locks the racks while they are rotated "in" so they dont flop around while changing boards. Then the are secured to the up-right in the "out" position by the screw down handle.

I am having a scallop put in so the pin will drop in and lock in the "out" position, thus eliminating the need for the handle.

The 07 "E" tower still has the same up-rights as 06. You can get them powdered or plain

yes. The pin is a passive lock and drops in when the manual screw-down lock bolt is unscrewed and the rack is swiveled in.

Word to the wise, don't get the powder coated. My coating is already peeling and does not make my boat look good.

I have responded to all PM's and i would like to let everyone on here know that if their board racks have failed, we recommended placing a weld on the side and 90% of these have had no further issue. Unfortunately if another failure occurred we have asked the dealers to send the old racks back to us and upon receiveing these we have sent out the 07 style. The 07's lock on the inside and there is a hole that must be drilled in the billet to secure the rack in the outside position. To date we have not seen any failures with these. Turn around time once we have received the old racks back has been approx 2 days. Unfortunately we ran out of some parts to build any wake board racks and we are expecting these any day. We have been out of these parts for approx 1 week and i know of 4 sets that i must send out once the parts arrive. Again let me say that not all 06 racks have failed and when we saw a potential probelm we notified the manufacturer and a change was done mid stream. Tige has and always will stand behind our product and if anyone has any questions please feel free to contact me at 325-676-7777 and i will be happy to discuss everything.

                Thanks
                Andrew

I would have to say that most if not all 06 racks will fail at some point. Looks like the racks are going to the dealer for some welding. Nothing like boards all over the floor...gotta love it.

Picked up my modified 07 racks from the machine shop and they work GREAT

I had them mill out a scallop for the pin to drop in and lock the rack in the OUT position......no need to drill a hole in the up right for a lock bolt. These work exactly like the original 06 design

The 3rd pic is going to be the next phase of modification. I am having the shop add in a 1/4 thick triangle wedge that will distribute the load of the boards across the face's of both pieces.

                      Finished Product

Here are a couple of pics of the final mod on the 07 board racks so they work like the 06's. With the added Gusset, I doubt that these will ever break again.

I plan on forwarding these pics and a brief description to Andrew and Harvey.

If you are waiting on your Dealer/Tige to come up with something, just take a set of the 07's to a machine shop/metal fabricator and have these mods done.

Now you just need to bust out he jewelers rouge and polish those things up. Looks like a great mod and I doubt those will break.
