at first they were fabricating 06's to replace it. and were going to ship longer bolts to replace the other side with.

Then the other side broke off. They are now saying they are going to put new 07 style's on but either need to adjust current uprights or order new ones. The current uprights are powder coated so should be difficult to put new holes in without needing a new coat.

That is one awesome brotha.... Can I borrow him. I am a little concerned that the starboard rack with boards in it will come down. I need someone to cushion the fall.

As its seems a rather consistent problem, I am certain a group of attys would take interest.

Yup and then when I eventually buy my next Tige, the cost of the boat will be $75K instead of $65K. Nope, not going to be started by me.

Why don't those of you who are experiencing an issue get together and approach Tige as a group. Figure out how you want the problem resolved (reasonably) and contact one of the guys from Tige on this board.

Great suggestion. I will take this on.

                  Okay, people...

                  I need to know:
                  1) What do you want?
                  2) When do you want it by?
                  3) What do you feel is reasonable?

I will combine these into an email or PM and send it to the moderators as a group. Okay?

                    1) Personally, I would like to have the new rack shipped to my dealer and the holes drilled by the dealer or someone that is able to do so.

                    2) Since my rack has been down at the dealer for nearly 3 weeks, I would like to have something in by a month and finished.

                    3) This is a reasonable request.

                      1. A fix for both board racks, if that includes shipping new uprights with the racks attached that is what we should get. They should be delived to the boat owner not the dealer because then it will take more time to install.

                      2. I say we give them not more than 2-3 weeks

                      3. Reasonable is what I suggested above.

Come on Tige, stand behind your product and make things right. I don't want to hear any excuses blaming the company that made the racks, ultimately it is up to you what you use on your product and you made a bad choice. A car company would have to issue a recall so Tige should do the same.

Please PM me with the responses to the questions. I promise to return the PM's to you to get the thumbs up before I send it to Tige.

                          Thanks again.

                            1) What do you want? Board racks that work and I can trust not to hurt passengers. If needed to make the 07's work send the uprights as well. Would prefer to have them the same as they were to begin with Orange Powder coated.

                            2) When do you want it by? Since they are new they should be in the Mfg Whse. 2 weeks should be plenty of time just 3 day ship them and we are good.

                            3) What do you feel is reasonable? = Replace other 06 models that are prone to this issue before someone is hurt or just break off and cause inconvenience. "Do the right thing on the next f'up so owners don't have to lead the company in a product recall"
