Damn! I just got over 50 on mine 2 weeks ago. I guess because I don't keep my boat at my house or have a lake that is that close to me. I end up heading out every other week. I only have 2 more trips for this season then I have to put the boat up in storage until after football.
Success is the ability to go from one failure to another with no loss of enthusiasm.

Holy cow! I wish I could afford your gas bill! Mine is going in for it's 20 hour service with 34 on it today. The lake is 55 miles from our house so it's hard for us to go out as much as we'd like to.
That has to be on YouTube by now. With so much water being dropped down there, it isn't surprising that something like that happened. But, again. That person wasn't the sharpest knive in the drawer.

Only 34 hours Timmy. We put 32 hours on the fist boat we got (the one that was totaly jack up) We got the replacement boat 2 weeks ago and have 19 hour on it. On the flip side Sloans Lake is only 20 min away.
Can you surf at Sloans though? I wouldn't think that it's deep enough to surf there... 4' to 6' deep, would think the wake would bounce off the lake floor and suck up everything in site!
Matt, are you on Lewisville lake or whatever it's called? I saw some video of a guy on a jet ski that ran off the spillway...
Yep that’s the lake I ride on. The accident is just directly across from my boat storage. I couldn’t believe that video when I saw it. I actually saw the news reporter doing the broadcast this past Saturday morning. Both of them were care–flighted off. Last I heard the driver broke his rib and pelvis, not sure about the passenger.
Typically there isn’t enough water to even get to that spillway but since we have had so much rain its just like another cove in the lake.

Surfing is a little hard at Sloans. You are right the muck bottom sucks the wake up. I get all my surfing in on Wen after work at Cherry Creek. We don't get a bad wake for wakeboarding. If you ever want to try Sloans out PM me and let me know you want to come out. We are out there every weekend in the am until 2-3.
