Well this is weird, we took some water over the bow yesterday and it was storming when we pulled out of the lake so the front carpet got pretty wet. I went out this morning and pulled the carpet out and it smells exactly like cat pee, just like you said! It's dry now and doesn't stink.

Same with me, if the front carpet gets wet at all...... and wham....... we get the cat pee smell.

Tige' needs ( or better) to look into this asap, as it clearly is in the production of the carpet they use.

It's hard to justify to guests on board that a new boat smells like cat piss.

      Tige' you reading this?

The cat pee smell actually prevents mildew (scares away the bacteria, too)

Go to home depot and buy yourselves

little green steam cleaner made by Bisell

Since I have gotten that my carpets always smell good.

If i get water over the bow I just suck it up when I get home. Its nice and dry about 3 or 4 hours later

Wet bow carpet - poor drainage

We have experienced the same odor problem... when we take water over the bow -the front storage compartments under the bow seats trap some of the water and are very slow to drain - we usually have to hand pump the water out - The carpet in those bow compartments is where most of our odor is coming from.

Anyone else experiencing slow or non-draining bow seat compartments? There are no visible drain holes that I can find.

I spray on squirrel urine to counteract the cat urine, it's called "CatPissBgone".

Seriously, I don't have any problems yet with stinky carpet and I am lazy and will leave my wet fat sacs in the lockers for a few days before I take them out to dry. However, I do live in a very low humidity climate and my boat has had 7 years to get rid of the smell.

Yup, have the same problem in those areas. I think chpthrill is doing something with this because his original fix didn't solve the problem..... I could be wrong here.....

It's a work in progress, no more puddling in the bow but wet in the port console now Hopefully I will get around to Rhino Lining next week.
