I have a new 07 24ve out of Vegas and it has the smell when wet it goes away when dry which only takes a couple hours in AZ when it is 110F and dry. I am hoping it will go away with some use and sun.

Hello everyone, My dealer cleaned the carpet and it smelled ok for one day. Then we went out and the carpet got wet and the smell came back. The worst smell is coming from the bow carpet and even with it out the rest of thr carpet still smells. I don't think we need to be working so hard trying to vacuum out the water and leave it in the sun to dry out on a new boat. Boats are made for water and materials should used as not to have problems if they get wet.

Yeah the bad smell pretty much never goes away. We tried febreeze, powerwashing.. nothing worked. We usually let it sit in the sun to dry out.
