    Did I get the right prop?

    Ok, we picked up a new prop with ACME's recommendation. I wanted someone in here to check this over to make sure we got the right thing:

    2004 Tige Switch V
    340 5.7 MP
    Ballast: 1500-1700lbs

    The original prop was a 3 blade, 13 X 12, whatever came stock with the boat
    We upgraded to a 4-blade 13.5 X 14.25 , upon acme's recommendation about our ballast amount.

    After trying it out tonight, it seems like the hole shot is significantly slower, but the RPM's are a lot lower. For instance, the original prop @ 30 MPH (no weight) was 3K. Now, with no weight, we are pulling 2300 RPMs at the same speed.

    Does this sound like the right prop? I want to trust ACME, but I really don't know what to expect, I know very little about props.

      They gave you the wrong prop. You need to let them know you have the 1:1 transmission not the 1.5:1.

          I Have the 1237 on order for my 24v at 6000' elevation. I think it is the same prop you have. The cup might be different but the diameter and pitch are the same. I have the blue tranny, I really don't know the name I think the color means something from earlier posts. I am using this as my high altitude prop. I think it may be to much prop for your 20v. I have no clue really, but did find the guys at acme very useful on making my decision. I do plan on doing a couple of test runs at all the local high elevation lakes and watching speed and rpms and making notes. I would recomend to all to do the same before you are in the market for another prop. I had general ideas not actual facts when I was talking to acme. Just another

            Ok, I asked the same Q at WW, and got the same answer. Does anyone know the CORRECT pitch for my boat weight, tranny, and engine size? I know that pitch stuff changes from 3-blade to 4-blade, so I don't know what to look for. \
