    Tall,
My manual states "The speed based mode is not designed for skiing and speeds over 25 mph as the control may not be smooth. RPM or Slalom mode is designed for smooth control over 25 mph." The manual also explains that you can calibrate PerfectPass to match your boat speedometer or GPS system. If you want the instructions on how to do it (at least from my manual) let me know.
I have already calibrated it. That is why it is dead on at Wakeboard speeds. It was 5MPH off when I got the boat. The question I had was why the paddle wheel is less accurate at higher speeds. And I wonder if it is also less accurate at lower speeds.

Nice use of quotation marks, BTW .
    Be excellent to one another.

What do you guys have your KDW (surge control) an NN (paddle wheel sensitivity) settings at? I was trying my out for the first time tonight and it seemed to surge above and drift below quite often at wakesurf speed.

What's a manual? As you know in the software world, nobody reads those, they just call support.

KDW-60 and NN 160. These seem to work fine for us. We have never changed it.

                Thanks Zad,

                I changed mine to:
                KDW - 80
                NN - 160

It really helped with PP holding the right speed.

Ok, i found my manual, actually read it and I was still at the factory default settings (KdW = 80 and NN = 120) My manual recommended a KdW range of 100-150 for heavily loaded boats, so I bumped my up to 150. I also upped my NN to 160.

I bumped my kdw up at first, but it seemed to surge ahead too much, so I pushed it back down to at and kept my NN up to 160. Let me know what you think on the new settings.

I found that mine always surges ahead, but if I kinda know where the tach is supposed to be, then i can get it to take over with out going more than .3 Mph over my target speed.
