Anyone here a member of Boat US? I am thinking about joining and trying to figure out if I will actually benefit from it.

I am a member for the towing services, they are a lot better than Sea Tow around here. I also go to West Marine ALOT, as I have two boats (Tige and Renegade flats boat) and I get discount coupons every couple of months that are pretty beneficial. If you travel a lot then there are some pretty good discounts you can get at some marinas, even on fuel.

I was thinking about joining to get the trailering club. I do most of my boating on inland lakes so I don't think they will be helpful for the on the water towing unless I am at Powell or somewhere similar. But I do think I will take advantage of the fuel discounts at the different marinas. But for $29.00 I think its worth it to have.

$19.00 for the Boat US membership and $10.00 for the trailering club.

I am a member, and I'm pretty happy, especially with their boat insurance quote. They ended up being the least expensive of the firms I priced, and over $200 less than my policy I have with State Farm. I haven't had to use any of the insurance...towing, trailering or otherwise, but it seems like a nice thing to have.

i have there towing, and it came in handy last year....saved over a grand, i highly recomend it!
