    Wakeboard racks

Hey does anyone know how to tighten the wakeboard racks on the 22ve? I was in some rough water last week with two boards bouncing around and they seem to be coming loose.
I looked at them and cant seem to find where to tighten them?
    Any help.
    Thanks..

There should be hex screws on the inside of the uprights that go threw the uprights and into the racks themselves. If your boat is an '06 and they need to be tightened and you can't find the screws, you will need to take the boat into Capital Water Sports because Tige was having a problem with the racks for that year. Let us know if this is your problem.

aaahhh yes, the beloved 06 swival racks Ok, the 2 screws you need to tighten are not accessible til you remove the rack (4 screws) from the upright.

      Tighten them ASAP.

we lost two board racks that were completely tightened but just snapped off, there are only two very small screws that are supposed to be able to support two wakeboards. Anybody know what the fix is for this, we are currently waiting on help from our dealership

They weld the pieces together. I just turned mine back into the dealership for this issue again and from my initial understanding from the dealership, they do not have any more 06 board racks. So, that means we might get an 07..... Anyways, they weld the two pieces together to fix it.

To make a short story long........... the 06 racks are no longer in production. The 07's will work but you will have to swap the billet up-rights from side to side because the 07's lock in the swivelled "in" position as the up-rights are on the boat now.

If you have the broken racks still, you can have them repaired and then welded. I am currently trying to solve the same problem but my broken 06's went to TX for repair and they sent a nice new pair of 07's that wont work.

I know how to make the 07's work, but need to find a machine shop with a CNC to mill a hole in them. I'll post B & A pics when I get something done next week.

Well chpthril, IMO, Tige needs to provide this service to the uprights. I don't think that this is asking too much since they are aware of the issues with the racks.

They have offered to reimburse the machine work but I don't know why they can't do it since I provided them with diagrams Thought they were! I went out of town for 2 weeks and got back to find another set of 07's had been delivered. so those are going to a machine shop on Monday.

Well, that is great that they are stepping up. Just keep us informed because I am sure I will be doing the same thing in the next week or two.

My uprights are already messed up. I don't have to worry there.

                          1) Raising and lowering the uprights and the paint chips away while doing that.

                          2) Once the paint gets chipped, it is peeling then.

                          I love my boat.

Mine are just plain aluminum, no powder, but the machine work will be on the swivels, not the up-rights anyway. If is doesn't work, I'm not out anything, but still in the same boat *rim shot*

Consider yourself lucky that you ordered yours plain. I didn't order my boat but the dealer did. I wish I knew better when I bought the boat.
