We had a jet-skier yesterday that wanted to jump our wake the first time about 75 feet back. He continued to get closer until he was at 30 feet when I waved them off. The last time they came way to close when my friend let off the throttle and turned left to follow the jet-skier. The funny thing was that the jet-skier boogied away very fast like a woman's genital area.....

Okay quick story, last year on an average busy weekend day (the lake is already rough) some guy in a orange and black vlx starts pulling tubers probably three or four around not but 20 feet from the dock and 100 ft from the busy launch throwing waves everywhere. Well this is a busy day so there is children and people everywhere jumping off and playing by the dock and people in there kayaks and floaty chairs. Now we have a big lake and this guy had all kinds of room but he chose to get this close to shore, and as we sat and watched him pull turns and whip the tubers around 10 ft from other people. A group of maybe 3 or 4 kayakers who are by the dock with everyone else were just sitting around when this vlx comes in and turns super fast, and these tubers come in and one of them take one of the kayakers right out, just completley ran over them and as we were watching this, one of the other people in the tubes flew out hitting who knows how many people. And by the time we saw this were amazed to watch the vlx gingerly come and pick up the riders and drive off and do it again.Last edited by pilot_ryder; 06-29-2007, 05:08 AM.

alright guys, I seemed to have struck a sensitive note in some of you. my bad
Let me sum this up. Yes I and other people feel the way we do. If its 7 am and someone was doing it to you I bet it would kinda make you a little irritated. This goes for the riders that make wakeboarding a passion. a love for it. We go out at 7 am to hit glass. Period. I didn't buy my nice expensive boat to do anything but wakeboard.
I didn't care about the guy using that side of the lake, its when they see that we are enjoying that spot all to ourself with no one else around (not even fishermen) that they feel the need to drive in circles around where we are. Granite he used my wakes like twice. Now I would exactly mind if it was mid afternoon and there were other boats out, and he wasn't getting any closer than he did, and besides he understood. he gave us our space.
but.....
I think I can make it up to you tuber lovers..
i saw a flying tube today, that was cool. best part was, the boat was driving straight and the tube was flying! That works for me
I might even try that. The guy got like 20 feet in the air and flew! for a long time to. Now that is cool tubin.

hey da.bell you were right... the lake level was really low today, was there last monday and it was high. today all the lower parking lots were visible. Why so soon? last year it seemed that they left it full until August. I wonder if it has anything to do with the new spillway they are putting in by the dam?

The lake is going to go down to 412 feet. It's at 437 feet right now and they are planning to get it down to 412 by August 1st. That means, where you were boarding, it's going to be even shallower and 15 yards wide. I would probably look for another body of water quickly and get use to that. We are thinking about making that 90 minute drive to Oroville.
Here is the website I use to get my info on Folsom Lake. Not sure if you know about it but if you don't, it's not bad. http://www.folsomlakemarina.com/

UNTIL YOU SNAP YOUR NECK AND DIE!!!Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

kinda still sounds fun though
