it's water, we all have to share, if someone beat someone else to the nice water early in the am, well, guess you should have gotten up earlier. HOWEVER if they come in after you are there, well then bring it on.

To me, the guy sounds like he realized he needed to respect the people that were already there and move on but that is just my opinion.

Or maybe he just felt bullied. Don't think because I am up here, I don't experience this, it happens all the time. On top of that, there is an additional attitude people get up here. Most of the weekend and WB/Ski traffic up here is people from the SAC/Bay area trying to get away from their busy lakes, like folsom and berryessa. People like me that live here, can get the attitude that they are screwing up OUR lake.

Just the other day, I have sighted for like the 3rd time a guy with a 2004 Tige 23v. A group of firemen, 3 families that went into a boat together and come regularly all the way from the bay area. They have young kids, and regularly tube in the WB cove I mentioned. I made it a point to welcome them when I caught them on the dock one afternoon.

I only say that to point out, I struggle with the same tude, but I think it is bad form. Man, I would love nothing more than for no one but residents of the area to be allowed on oroville, it would be like a private lake. But thats not going to happen.

Anyway, better to argue these things on this board, rather than out on the lake with a flare in hand. ;-)

We get people from the bay area on Folsom. We even went to Camp Far West to get away one day. I would go to Lake Clementine but I don't think my boat would fit the switchback road getting to the lake. Rollins Lake is a nice lake up hwy 80 but there are many campers with (should I even say it..... Another can of worms) JETSKI'S!!!!!!.. he he he

This is a brutal thread. Yes we have expensive boats, yes we love wakeboarding but NO ONE owns the water or even has the right to dictate to tell anyone to go somewhere else to have fun, I don't care who you are.

If someone came over to me, and told me to move when we were tubing. I would tear the largest strip off of them I could, I am serious I would flip out, it would not be pretty...... I bought my boat to use it however I want.

What's the difference if a fisherman that is out there at 4:30am tells you to piss off because your shaking the fish up with a wake? you going to move to a different spot? what if he chases you down? you going to like that?

Give your head a shake.... the water is for everyone for whatever way they want to use it. ( as long as they are not being stupid or dangerous) get over it and be happy that you are out on the water.

I will do it again if I'm out there and I see some tuber out at 7 am. using my wakes. If they want choppy water or wakes then why not stay where its choppy? Plus I give a &*%$. we all asked nicely. and they should have a little more courtesy to people who are boarding in one area. He didn't have to come all the way up to where we were, driving right behind us. Though he did. So we asked.

had that guy tried anything stupid because we asked him to go further down, he would have been dealt with real fast. Not like we threaten him or anything. We just asked.

Da.Bell - As for where we were it was just up past ratsnake bar. We were taking runs from the 5 mph zone to the dock at ratsnake. That guy should have been on the main or down the north fork by the main at least. Its was still glass all over. This guy was using my wakes to have fun with. Plus not very safe. What if my rider or myself fell. With a speeding boat coming up behind you thats not cool. So there was more than one reason we chased him down.
