Pulling a tube behind a Tige is as bad as fishing from a Tige, which I saw this past weekend. When questioned, he said his dad had the fishing boat on another part of the lake and he was practicing for a tournament next weekend. Shoot both of them.

The purpose of the tube IMO is not to go on a little pleasure ride, its to hold on for dear life! If they wanted it to be relaxing they would put a lawn chair on some floats and an eye hook on the front, maybe even a cooler.
Same here, I have a few small cousins that come out a few times in the summer that enjoi it...its ok every once in a while, right ow I couldn't tell you where it is.

        a damn tuber!

what the heck are they doing out at 7am! thats twice already.

well there went my butter. It really pi$$ed us off.

So before I grabbed my flare (anger control)

I chased him down, and we stopped right next to the guy and to ask him to go to the main body of the lake where he should be. He said something like we don't own the lake. I said true,(smarta$$) but we are out here to avoid choppy water during the day, and we would appreciate it if you went somewhere else. After a few seconds it sunk into his brain and he agreed to leave the area. I think he was shocked we had even asked.

and guys this was a 30 or 40 year old man riding the tube. Pathetic.

as a boarder Im really touchy about the water I ride in. When i see this kind of stuff at 7 am it really gripes my a$$.

        -end rant-
I gotta tell ya, maybe I am stepping out of line here, but your attitude is the problem. NO ONE, fisherman, boarder, tuber, whatever, should feel they have a right to any part of the lake or time. Its there for all to enjoy. Now, don't get me wrong, when I get out for butter, and something like that happens, it bothers me, but I deal with it, its a dissapointment. You gotta get over it.

I was today, as we usually do during the week, at 2pm til dark. We surf and swim til about 5:30pm when it starts getting glassy. Then we break out the boards for the good water. Tonight, all the way to dark, was a big cobalt pulling a tube of kids having a great time. They kept winding through our favorite spot. So I have been there, and VERY recently. Just because you have an inboard, or a Tige, or rock at boarding, or whatever, we should not have an elitist attitude. If you want privacy, and to call the shots, then do this:

Otherwise, be happy another family has found out how great boating and lake watersports are.

When we go out early on my lake, we're usually disturbing the fisherman with our wake and tunes, so it's hard for me to get super upset about someone else messing up butter with a tube. Sure, it bums me out, but since I don't own the lake, I try to get along. If I'm fishing, the last thing I want is some yayhoo buzzing me with a very loud wakeboard boat and scaring all the fish away.

If I'm going to chase someone down, it's going to be for putting my crew in serious danger and then only when they continue to do it. Usually, it's better to let the local law enforcement handle dumba$$es...that way you avoid lake rage.

I can see where tigeblue and ragboy are coming from. There comes this word call "RESPECT" when it comes to boating and doing any type of water sport. IMO, it is only common courtesy that the tuber should have left the area but I also know there is a lot of dumba$$ tubers in Folsom also that just don't care. Folsom is not a small body of water by any means either but IMO, the tuber should have left the area.

Okay, for the real question. What a-hole would have been tubing at 7 AM anyways??????

I think I respectfully disagree. If he is out there at 7am, he may be there because he wants some butter. Just cuz he is on a tube, is he not entitled to it? He got up early for it. Tubing on glass is a blast, although I haven't tubed in 2 seasons. Also, especially on a busy lake, tubing or anything, there are good reasons to want to be in a more sheltered area, rather than the main body of water. Just because you think he should tube where its rougher, he is just as entitled to it as you.

IMHO, anyone out there at 7am is doing something on purpose, just like you. He is just as entitled.

This is a brutal thread. Yes we have expensive boats, yes we love wakeboarding but NO ONE owns the water or even has the right to dictate to tell anyone to go somewhere else to have fun, I don't care who you are.

If someone came over to me, and told me to move when we were tubing. I would tear the largest strip off of them I could, I am serious I would flip out, it would not be pretty...... I bought my boat to use it however I want.

What's the difference if a fisherman that is out there at 4:30am tells you to piss off because your shaking the fish up with a wake? you going to move to a different spot? what if he chases you down? you going to like that?

Give your head a shake.... the water is for everyone for whatever way they want to use it. ( as long as they are not being stupid or dangerous) get over it and be happy that you are out on the water.

ragboy, I know you live in the area but not sure you know that much about Folsom but North Fork is the largest fork on the lake. The fork must go up 5 miles. Now, I am not sure where tigeblue was boarding (Sorry, huge key here since we really don't know exactly what part of North Fork he was in) but if tigeblue was boarding up near the 5 MPH zone, he was all the way up the fork where the distance from shore to shore is 40 yards or so. Just south of the 5 MPH zone, there is a MUCH better tubing spot where the distance between shores exceeds 100 yards. IMO, I wouldn't be wipping the tuber in a valley with rocks that is 40 yards or so. You can barely get two wakeboarders to wake board in that stretch.

Are they draining Oroville like they are doing Folsom right now???? OMG!!!! Folsom is going down to 421 feet by August 1. Last week it was 436 feet and was at that amount for months.... We might have to find another lake soon.

No, oroville is normal. Great as always!

Here is the thing. The main problem I have is with tigeblue's attitude and anyone with an attitude like that. Now, if tb had pulled up to the guy, and said something like "Hey, fellow boater, I think we both want some of this butter, how bout we work it out so that we both can take advantage" and they proceed to respectfully choose who goes where, then GREAT! But what tb did was very disrepectful, and probably just pissed the other guy off, and made him want to do donuts in front of tb.

The point is, we all need to act like we are no more entitled to any portion of the lake as any other, tuber, fisherman, or whatever. We are all guests on the same lake. Now if some governing official decides to partition the lake by location/and or time, and someone is violating it, a more escalated attitude could be called for.

The best WB cove on oroville, which I am ALWAYS in, butts right up against a large NO SKI area. Its more narrow, and a fishermans haven, which we all respect. It is ALWAYS butter in there. Occasionally, and more often than you would think, a WB boat is back there boarding and comes out into the ski area. THATs the guy that should have the flares pointed at him, not the tuber or fisherman.

ragboy, I can see your point entirely. I wouldn't have done the same that tigeblue did nor am I condoning what he did. tigeblue did what he did.

Now, I also know that when people post stuff, they usually either tone it down or tone it up. Not sure exactly what tigeblue said besides:

To me, the guy sounds like he realized he needed to respect the people that were already there and move on but that is just my opinion.
