Domsz06 when I was younger my family spent many summers on Lake Powell growing up. I can for the most part read the lakes. You can not survive on a 28' cabin cruiser on Lake Powell unless you really pay attention. Lake BV is an exception to reading water colors. It is just a big mud hole. So you really have to rely on the markers. They have it all marked out now since they have changed the lake around. Soon it just might be a dirt bike park and all dried up anyways. So from my experiences at Lake Powell as a kid I have learned it never hurts to ask those who have been on the lakes for tips before going. This way you are not all tense and worried because you do not know the lake and you have some information about it. It is all good though and I never quit learning so I will take any advise or help I can get. I figure when I know all the things I need to know regardless of what kind of shape I am in I will have a heart attach and kill over. Then my avatar will have to be retired. I hope that is in about 50 years.
