Have not heard about anything like that, spenchy2.

Sounds like maybe the amp to the tower speakers was cutting out? Overheating? But there is no way you would get delay or echo. The amps in the boats are still Kicker amps. Wet Sounds speakers.

Just remember that a speaker only plays what it is fed. So if the speakers are cutting out, it is because the amp is overheating. If there is distortion, it is usually caused by a clipped signal off an amplifier. Unfortunately for us, the speakers always get the bad wrap. When they just happen to be at the end of the line and what people wind up hearing.

I will talk with Tige and see if they have heard anything about what your friend heard. But it sounds like the only thing it could be is the tower speaker amp was over heating and going into protection. If this happens and it comes on and off. Then I could see how you buddy could call it an echo.

Also, spharis posted some info on using the correct gauge wire for your tower speakers. Distortion can also be caused by too much resistance on the speaker wires to the tower.

If this is the case, we are never going to hear the end of this one. MC owners saying that Tige is copying them again. The pickle fork idea that is and now the same size boat........

BTW, I was at Texas Ski Ranch and they sell the MCs. The prices are amazing. Imagine paying 6 figures now for your boat...it's nuckin' futs!

Now you KNEW that was coming Those blasted MC guys for some reason feel they have an exclusive on the pickle fork theme. What most don't realize is that it was around long before MC or anyone else adopted it.

Go figure huh? Where do they get off on that one when their boats aren't made any better than anyone else at that level for the most part? Look at materials and construction, nothing new there.

You can definitely say the Bu's and MC are over priced. Tige is getting there IMO....

...which only drives up your resale value.

Not neccessarily imo. If seen a lot of nice well taken care of boats from the top mfgrs that even at a greatly reduced price aren't moving lately it seems. Don't know if it's the economy or gas or what but i'd be hard pressed to buy any boat on resale value speculation.

But they do know that plenty of their buyers have size issues and are going to put them up there.

Now that they are going to have Wetsounds as a factory option, they need to have the bimini thing fixed.

I was with my dealer yesterday and he said the RZ1 will be pointy nosed with RZ transom. It will for sure be a V-drive.

I got to sit in an RZ4 yesterday!

My dealer's been selling Wetsounds for a while and it's not a problem for them. They even have them on display this way. The cool thing is I don't even have to duck to get under the bimini and I'm a pretty tall dude (albeit not as tall as the taller talltigeguy).

I have to duck under my bimini and NVS's but my tower is lower then the new tower. If I had a tower like on anhaney's boat I wouldn't have to duck at all. Oh well, such is life.

I see. I get a cutting out on my current boat (06 22V) and i'd like to let tige know that if i'm going to pay for a big sound system it better work when i'm wakeboarding not just going at 5 mph.
