Actually when pricing out my new boat, my dealer said Tige is now putting the bimini on top of the tower. So w/e you want to run should clear no problem! As long as you don't put your speakers on the top side

My question about the wetsounds tower speakers is this... is Tige going to be charging MSRP on the speakers or are they gonna try and make a crap load off of them as usual! Guess we'll see.

As for the Kicker stuff... you know... for some reason Tige never put enough power to the coax's they were running. If you guys would upgrade your amps and put 80W-100W to those suckers, they would scream. Instead of the small amp that Tige puts on them.

I wonder if Tige will get the wiring right on the wetsounds? For some reason they never could get it right with the Kickers. Ask your dealer how many he had to re-wire.

I dont see how we can fault Tige because the factory bimini interferes with aftermarket speakers that WE choose to install. Thats like bitchin at Ford because our sub box doesn't fit the trunk of our Pinto

The Kicker Amps in my 06 are rated @ 90Wx4 @ 2ohm to Tower speakers and 85Wx4 @ 2ohms to the cabin speakers.

I did have to re-wire the tower from 2 wires for 4 speaker to 1 lead per each speaker and now they BLAST.

My friend test drove a RZ4 the other day and said that with the wet sounds it echos. For example, the music would first go out the tower speakers then to the interior speakers. Is this a problem with all wet sounds on the 08s or just a isolated event?

errr what! did your friend test drive at 4:20 or something!! lol j/k im not sure that is possible is it? i dont see how this could be but it will be interesting to hear what the wetsounds rep has to say.

Could be H/U or amp issue. Don't see how speakers could cause a delay

Notice the problem here.... that's at 2 Ohms! Your Coax's are running at 4 Ohms. And even if they're not... each one is still only seeing roughly 45W's. That's probably the KX350.4 or the ZX350.4 .... switch to a 650.4 and watch your speakers REALLY come alive!!!!

My speakers kept clipping at high volumes originally, so I got in and checked everything. The 4 main speakers were wired up at 1 Ohm! Only the bow speakers would maintain volume. I pulled every speaker off of the amp rewired. I ran the 4 main speakers to their own dedicated channels, and then the two bow speakers to the headunit. You could actually run the two bow speakers to independant channels the wire up the other 4 in pairs wired in parallel, or however you want to do it. The reason I did it my was was to keep a 4Ohm load, to keep my amps cooler. Two different dealers I talked w/ said they keep having the EXACT same problem.

I looked back @ my specs and see what your are saying. I have the ZX700.5 for the cabin (sounds great, no prob's) and the ZX350.4 for the tower. They would clip, wired @ 2ohms, so I could never turn them up. Now that they are re-wired at 4ohms and each on there own channel, I can open them up and they screem. A little birdy told me that Tige declined to wire per Kicker's recommendation

Why dont they list the spec's for a 4ohm speaker (stereo, not mono) They list 2ohms stereo and 4ohms bridges mono.

A little birdy is exactly right! I worked pretty closely w/ a few of the guys from Kicker on my stereo install (or re-install on parts) since they are right down the road and my fiance's uncle is one of the managers there. The guys there were astonished. They said... "we've gone over this hundreds of times with them, why can't they get it right?" Was that 5 channel amp also wired into your sub or something? I only got the KX350.4 in my 06'.

As for the specs... no clue... It's not like it's hard to type in some additional numbers. I guess they're just listing max power hoping to get more sales... or something. Who knows.

Yeah, the 5 channel has the 6 cabin speakers and the sub w/remote bass control.

EDIT* so you had 2 KX350's??? Why would 2 06's be different??? are the dealers doing this?

No no... I only had one amp. I didn't have the factory sub or the factory tower speakers. I got my own stuff, since I get quite the hook-up with Kicker. I didn't want to pay Tige for the amps when I was getting them at a little over half of dealer cost, especially considering Tige charges like 2X MSRP for their stereo stuff. Of course those original amps got stolen so I replaced the factory KX350.4 with the ZX650.4 and man the interior speakers came ALIVE when I did that!!!!!!

So a Cali Tigé dealer employee just replyed to a thread on Wakeworld on 22ve pricing and stated the new model is the RZ1 to be introduced at the dealer show in Sept. He got this right from a dealer letter he got today. Doesn't say anything about it or any specs. 21' RZ? DD or V? Who knows. He also stated while at the factory last year there was a 21' DD resembling an RZ that was almost complete. Guess we'll see.

very interesting... I had heard that the new boat is a 21' v-drive with a transom that looks like the RZ2. I guess that would make sense that its actually an RZ1!

DDs are for plankers, and since that market segment seems to be shrinking I doubt they'd introduce another one (other than the 20i). Also, MC has the X2 w/ the picklefork nose. A 21' RZ1 v-drive would be direct competition to the X2. Plus, if they keep the tracking fins from the RZ2, you've got a FAR superior-handling boat to begin with.
