OWN, They did get down to the ship wreck, they sat in the cabin and explored a bit. I am the Venture Crew leader and we went to Flaming Gorge this year, last year we did Lake Powell -- two other advisors have boats and are of like mind when it comes to watersports. Regarding 60 degrees, I didn't wear my wetsuit, so I had tell myself something- it actually really wasn't that bad or maybe I just went numb I certified here about 20 years ago and we went down over 100 feet where it was a nice comfy 39 degrees.

Bear Lake gets lime deposited in it from the various rivers and gives it an amazing turquoise color.

President Sparky, you wouldn't have enjoyed the white house anyway Dom, you should get involved again, you would be a great scout leader. Matt, when you are done with Lake Powell, keep going North. Laketime, it was a little windy in the morning and calm the rest of the day, we had two days when the wind kicked up in the afternoon. TeamAllen, plan your next Utah trip up there in August / September. DaBell-Ragboy, it was fun.

Great pics, Moki! My 12 year old got a few driving lessons from me this weekend. He's already got his boater's safety and can't wait to be 13 to start driving. I've spent about 70 hours since Memorial Day weekend dragging him and his buddies (mostly him) around the lake in one fashion or another. He's learning so he can pull me. He's also been super helpful as a 1st mate whenever we're out. Makes things go a lot more smoothly when you have someone other than yourself who knows what to do.

Sparky, go out whenever you can, but don't push the boarding part until they're ready. You might be better off having your son learn behind a jet ski with those training skis first. HO makes the best trainer skis, IMHO. My kids started that way when they were 3 and started boarding when they were 5 or 6. That Tige wake can be pretty intimidating when you're younger.

Looks awesome Moki. The BSA needs more people like you

Our troop left for camp today. We have a small man-made lake, just big enough to run a couple boats for Waterski and Motorboat MB

I am an Eagle and my son is one merit badge away with enough to gain a palm and he just turned 14. But like all boys he does not want to fill out paper work. He needs that personal managment badge. Here is some of our pictures from scout camp this year. I had the TAPS set on a 1 and I was at 9.5 MPH. The wind was blowing, and the lake was rough which cut into the surf wave and made it hard to make it clean but we still surfed. The boy surfing is my friends son. His boat is the Master Craft in front of mine at the dock. The boy jumping the wake on the wake board just started boarding and is picking it up real fast. He has been boarding for about a year now. Domsz hooked him on surfing with his boat. But he wanted to board instead. So we let him. . I love working with the young men they bring back memories of when I was there age. They are our futur leaders.
