    Shasta advice

My wife and I are heading out with friends for Shasta this Sunday.
We will be there until Saturday. We are staying at Shasta Lake RV Resort with our camper which is about 2 miles from Antlers boat launch.
I am so stoked to get the heat and the warm water.
So for those of you that have been there where are the calm waters?

We were at Shasta the 8th through the 16th. We had a cabin at Tsasdi's resort which is just down the road from where you are going to be. We had great water the entire week, it didn't matter where we went. The ave air temp was low to mid 90's and the water was apprx 75. Perfect weather and by far our families best vacation. Fuel up at Antlers or Sugar Loaf gas was 4.60 per gallon. If you are down by the dam do not fill up at Bay Bridge, I made that mistake and paid 5.50 a gallon. Oh well if you think about it you should not own a boat. If it is windy head up the squaw creek arm - it is beautiful up there. Here are a couple of pics, the third one is a buddy of mine.

Where you are going up by antlers/lakehead is the less traveled part of the lake, lots of good water. That is a great resort, in the past, before we had our trailer, we used to get a cabin there and a boat slip. It was great. The farther south you go down that arm, the busier it usually gets.

This is our first time going and I'm sure we will do some exploring.
A buddy from work said the arm is a great place to go but would be a bit far to boat to from antlers marina.
We have a slip at our campground for the entire week so I don't plan on trailoring anywhere.
