No mosquitos where that's at. We're in the western portion of the Hill Country so it's pretty dry. Only when we get a bunch of rain (once every 7 years right after our drought year) do we even see any. It's definitely not like Houston.

And you're right, it makes me want to move there, too. For now, it'll have to be weekly visits...fortunately, it's less than an hour west of Austin

Dogbert - Speaking of a bunch of rain, Lake Buchanan got it last weekend, huh? I heard like 6 inches? They have been talking on the news about how all the floodgates have been open on all the lakes on the Colorado River. Supposedly they are shutting them down today, good timing for the weekend. Lake Austin is going to be COLD!!! I just hope there is not a lot of crap floating on the Perd tomorrow...

At least the Perd is now full, amazing what 8 weeks of rain can do !

Yeah, Lake Buchanan was already pretty close to full prior to that last batch of rain. It was already 3 feet from full Memorial Day weekend.

Lake Austin is frigid and there's so much water flowing through there that it's creating significant ripples in the normally calm water. It really messes up your riding because of all the different currents. There were times that I was only going 10 Mph upstream even though PerfectPass was set at 20. Good thing I didn't have a GPS based speed system.

I'm looking forward to spending a couple of days out at the lake, but it won't be 'till late Saturday nite because of a wedding and a swim meet

bk3104- Yeah, I am so happy the Perd is back, we store the boat out there right by Camp Perdernales so it makes life so easy when we can ride right there. Riding the butter past the 71 bridge was so nice a couple of weeks ago. All of my best butter runs have been on the Perd. Like I said, hopefully there is not too much crap in the water tomorrow. Do you ride the Perd? What color is your 22VE?

Dogbert - Yeah, Town Lake is rolling too, the current is crazy. I will have to check out the temp this afternoon when I run to see how chilly it is. It must be cold, there has been a thick foggy cloud over it every morning this week! Talk about some sweet butter, Town Lake is always glass, I have to get tortured by that every morning on the way to work!

Austin, I actually have a place on the south side ofLake LBJ so I drive over the 71 bridge all the time. Got to see the good and the bad this year ... dry and all the docks on the riverbed to full.

24VE ... Black transom, red side panels, white hull and deck with limited graphics. Son goes to Lake Travis and he picked the colors.

My personal lake about 8pm and ride till dark (9:30 pm) ... there is 0 wind!!! (so rare in OK). No boats to worry about. Just you and windless water!

Here's a pic of my friend attempting a backroll. Actually... it's normally smoother than this even. And the rollers are obviously from me.

I posted this pic in a thread 20 months ago and Tigeowners won't let me upload it again. Why is that? Wakeworld does not do that...

                              Can that be fixed?

                                I'll try this one.

I went during my lunch hour in November on my birthday. Now that is some glass!
