    Just Venting

This last weekend we went to Lake Mohave.
On Tuesday we where buy Davis Dam when someone in a new Air Nautique cut us off and put his rider in harms way. Then he had the tenacity to yell at us for getting to close to his rider.

This is what happened we where going south and he was going east.
We where about 400 feet from the shore, and he was about 100 feet from the dam (we where about 300 feet apart he was at my 1 o-clock). He past the dam and heeded towards a no wake zone. He then made a u-turn in about 30 feet of room and proceeded west (now he is my 10 0-clock). At this time we where only about 150 feet away from each other. There was a runabout to my right so I had two choices. 1, shut down and drop my rider, or 2, cut behind his rider and stay as close to the dam as I can.
(Ok the proper thing to do would have been to shut it down and drop my rider, but I was pissed so I cut behind his rider and went next to the dam on his left side.)
As soon as this happened his rider feel and I passed him on the left.
( ok I should have stopped and waited for the @@@ to pick him up so that I could explain that making an U-turn in front of a 5,000 lb boat is not the smartest thing, but I keep going)

About an hour later he comes over and starts yelling at me for cutting him off. (He needs a dictionary) I told him that he cut me off, and that is how I got behind him. After a few words I told him to go get the ranger so that they could make the call. We skied for about another 2 hours and nobody showed up. Later that night as we where leaving I stopped at the ranger station to see if they had a complaint about me. He said no and asked way. I told him what had happened, and he said that he did not hear of anything about it, and that if a complaint was filed that they probably dismissed it after the other party left the office.
He also said laughing that just because they has money to buy a nice boat does not mean they have any common sense.
Tige, it's a way of life!

What an A$$ he should have made a left and followed the no wake zone north and gone between the island and the shore....

When I'm pulling riders by the dam I try to make counter clockwise squares around the island...

When the wind blows from the south that is the best water on the lake unfortunately everyone knows it and it gets crazy..... Good thing nothing happened and everyone is safe...I have learned that going to katherine's Landing you run in to alot of dumb-A$$ people who have no clue!!!!!!!!

The problem is that those people think the same thing about you.

Nice move telling him to go get the Ranger to let him decide...That will shut people up quick...... most of the time.

I would have thrown a lit flare into his boat.

But I'm evil so... I believe in violence.

I also like the ones who drive diagonal across the lake (and my bow) from left to right while I'm towing a rider and they wonder why I'm giving them a dirty look.

Hey if he was that close then a flare would have done just right! I hate it when stupid people put you and your friends, loved ones in danger. There seems to be a lot of stupid drivers out there.

Don't we all just love stupid people. Last Saturday I had my son out boarding at Pineview Reservoir at 7:15 am, the lake is pretty empty then. This guy pulls up his slalom skier and comes up behind me and gets with in about 75 ' of my boy then cuts outside my wake and comes around me giving me a stare and then cuts right in front of me leaving his skier about 50' in front of me. Then after my boy drops and I stop and turn back he comes around to voice that I'm in the skiing area. I didn't know we divided the lake into skiing vs. boarding and have been going to this lake 15-20 times per summer since I was a kid (too long to say)
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

Ok, that's when you break out your surf board, load up your ballast to max configuration on one side and surf by his skier giving them the hang loose wave.

I'm not one to lose it, but I just don't get it somtimes.

I try not to surf on glass.

                          Another vent

Last night I'm out with 12 in the boat and my wife has the surf wake dialed in and I'm having the best run of the year. Then right in the middle of my run the local lake cop decides to hit the lights and siren and pulls up next to us and tells my wife to shut it down. I had pointed him out to her just before I started my run, so she would be aware and stear clear of any other boats or other infraction that she might do. She killed it and turned back and picked me up. Then the lake cop came over to do a pfd inspection, he asked how many people on the boat and how many jackets. I informed him we had 12 bodies and 20 jackets. I gues he thought I was kidding he then made us each grab a jacket and hold it up, then he wanted to see my extinguisher, my throwable pfd, check my horn and then finally let us go and said to not tow after sunset. It was about 8:30 and sunset last night was 9:04. After that my wife didn't want to pull me anymore and everyone in the boat was done with the fun and ready to pull out. Of course there was glass the whole way back to the dock. Why do some people have to be that way?

I really hate stupid people on the water. In OK i would yell at them and tell them what I thought when they cut us off, or put us in danger. Cali is a bit different, least at the local lake, as much of the people out here are thug life, and well I don't feel like getting shot/stabbed/etc over an argument.
