    Help selling boat!!!!

Hey everyone, need some help right away. As many of you know my wife and I have decided to sell our 2007 24 VE. It's just not the right time for us to have one. It is fully loaded and we bought it 1 month ago for $65,000. We are selling it for $57,000 or best offer. The only down fall is there is no trailer so we are willing to sell it for $54,000 to help offset the cost of a trailer. (a great price for this boat).

Here is where I need your help......we have a guy on our lake who is very interested essentially he said he would pay the $54,000 and loves the boat. The only problem is he needs to sell his 2006 Rinker 226 R1 wakeboard edition. I have tried working with my Tige dealer and he has tried working with his Rinker deal to try and put a deal together that got him a reasonable amount for a trade in on his boat and got us our number as well. We have had no luck. I'm even willing to bend a little more on our number to make it happen (but I hate to). Any ideas of ways to get this done that I'm not thinking of would be very helpful. This is the ideal for us to sell to some one on our lake and we want to sell it sooner then later as we are not using it (don't want to put hours on) and we are paying for it. Thanks in advance for your help.......

Have him sell his boat and buy yours??

I am not sure what other options you have...If you include a dealer in the transaction, you will lose more money....They will want either a cut, or will want to buy his boat at wholesale, which is going to be pretty darn low.

I still can't believe you are going to take a $11k loss on that boat one month after buying it. Something seems strange about your situation....Almost like you bought the boat without your wife knowing about it or something.....lol...Just kidding.

Anyway, good luck with that deal. Wish I had more options for you, but really it is up to him to sell his boat and buy yours. Trying to do the buyers work for him will probabaly be more trouble than it is worth.

You could have rented a 47 Fountain for far less. And it would handled your lake better.

How many months a year can you guys up there boat? Sell it and rent an ocean boat.
