So be careful and watch them and make sure you wipe them down and put some wax on them.

Fine steel wool does wonders for cleaning up and getting rid of surface rust and corrosion on chrome. Makes it shine like new also. Don't mess with wax to get it off, try the steel wool first, then clean and polish. Use the type of steel wool that is used for woodworking, you can find it at Lowes or Home Depot in the isle where wood stains and wood finishing products are.

In the car bizz to be politically correct we call those, "Thermal events."

So to be correct and not stir up a lot of attention we should say you had two thermal events with those lights. No need for any unnecessary panic.

just an update: spoke with wakeside and they are taking care of me. Dbot said they were unaware of any issues of this type - but said they would do some additional testing. Wakeside has been very helpful. Sending the boomerangs back and getting titan projection lights instead.

Wakeside is one of the best online wakeboard stores. I am very impressed with them and we get our equipment for the boat very, very quickly.

Wakeside is my choice also. I have installed my dbot5 lights, too dark for pics, will post tomorrow. They look great, and we did the custom install to mount on the infinity speaker mounts, looks pretty cool. Also have the front and rear pointing lights on sep switches.

OK, got some pics of the lights now, they work great. They have a weird tinted lens, that actually slowly changes colors as you change angle, and it seems with heat. I didn't like at first, and you can remove to just clear. But they are growing on me.
