The exhaust that comes out of there is hot. When it hits the water it cools and for the most part that cooling of air makes it shrink and sucks the exhaust covers shut and decreases the chances of water entering the engine.
When the engine is in the water after it has cooled, the water pressure is enough to keep them shut.Be excellent to one another.Comment
