    Finally on the Water

So the first time I turned the key on this boat it totalled the engine. A month later, and a bag of cash lighter, here I am with basically a brand new motor in my Tige.
I am a believer once again. This is possibly the best investment I have ever made. I picked the boat up on Friday, and headed right to the lake with some friends. Conditions were far from Ideal, cold even for northern Canada this time of year, about 15 degrees C (58 degrees F). But that didn't stop us from having all kinds of fun in the water. I figured I would post some pictures to highlight the fun, as all of my previous posts revolved around my broken boat, with somewhat of a negative tone. It has all come together quite nicely now, and I can see a great summer ahead. I see why you all love your Tige's so much.

The lake didn't look too bad. However, how cold was it???? It looks like we have another satisfied Tige owner!!!!!!

Man that looks cold. I thought we were diehards. Looking at these pics, and that other guy from montana, makes me thankful of my climate!

You guys must have thicker skin or something. ;-)

There is way too much skin showing in those pictures for that kind of weather. They must be tough.

I go all year round, but I don't skip on bundling up either.
            Be excellent to one another.

Nice Pics! I am glad that you are back on the water! When your cash bags start to feel heavy again, I recommend that you look at a new tower. I have a 2000 2300V and used to have that same tower and put on a new Xplosion tower. There are other towers that look good on a Tige as well such as Monster and Sampson. Even if you don't, you have a great boat and now with a new engine! You are going to have years of fun in that thing. Congratulations on getting it back on the water!

Yeah I was already looking into a new tower based on what I have been reading in this forum, as well as the fact that I stripped one of the receivers the first time I went to put up the tower. Unfortunately the need to rebuild my engine killed my "boat upgrade" budget for the year and it will have to wait till next season. There are some great towers out there, and I'm sure it will be hard to choose betwen them. Do these aftermarket towers typically fold down just as far as this metcrap tower. It's already a tight fit into the garage, and I can't afford any more height really.

For the record, the water seemed really warm that day we went out. I think the cold ambient temperature made it seem warmer than it actually was. Funny thing is I had a friend visiting from Melbourne. She is the one in the touque, freezing her arse off. But to her credit, she skied twice that day!

                    Nice pic.
I have a Phatbody tower and it is only about 6" above the windshield when folded
Tige, it's a way of life!
