Another New Boat Post - with pics.

Like a few others who have recently posted to the forums I've been lurking around for the past several months as my wife and I elected to order a new
24Ve from the factory and went through the jitters as we waited for it to arrive.

The site, and these forums ARE addictive... Well we've taken delivery of our new baby and I am very pleased to share a couple of pics with you all. Cause' the forum and these posts arn't worth a damn with out pics.

We call our new ride "Phat Bottomed Girl". She's got almost all of the factory bells and whistles. As my father-in-law would say, it has everything but birthcontrol. Actually, the only option that we did'nt get was the transom shower. The red and white really pops in person, but the interior is what really attracts attention in the marina. Red, white, tan and black is really sharp.

We already have 15-16 hours on it, which is actually quite a feat as the water her is still running in the 50-60 range. Last weekend we hit a tropical 63. After a weeks worth of rain I'm certain that the temp is now back at or below 60.

Thanks all! God I hope this is the right topic group

I am curious how well your factory ballast is working?

The interior colors are SWEET!! I think I will go with other than white as the major interior color next time - I'm tooo anal about keeping it clean

The outside it great as well!! Good luck with her!

You know, nice boat. I can't say that I like the look of the text on the back, but that is all individual choice. Congrats on the buy, and enjoy it. However, you have to live up to the name, and throw some methods and TS fronts (CF this, Parks section anyone?)!

Sweet boat! I see that you had to mortgage the house and move to a trailer park to afford her. Most homes are overrated anyway

Thats the mobile home area at the marina where we spend most of our summers. Its about 30 mins away from town so off and on during the week we spend the night and "commute". I know a 30 min commute is a no brainer for most of you. My normal drive is only ten min from home to work. "Emptyboat" is a couple of spots down from me. Used to be that the only time we would see a Tige was when he brought in for the weekend. Now there are several.

The factory ballast is working pretty well with a couple of minor glitches. Mainly the vapor lock issue that some of you have reported. The bow sack seems to flake out on me from time to time, but the back ballast fills without a problem. I've started to fill the bow first then start with the aft ballast. Wish there was a % full gage on those things. With music and etc, its tough to hear when the bags are full and the water is being pumped overboard.

Canyon Ferry is a large lake and it gets rough daily. So we wanted something that we could use in the rough water and wakesurfing is just the ticket.

I suspected something like that, but still thought it would be nice to poke some fun. My wife would not stand for having a boat that rivals the cost of the house.

I used to live in Pocatello, Idaho. I miss the 5 minute commute

I like Pocatello, nice there and only a short haul for a couple of good places to put in. Then just over the hump to Jackson lake. From what i've seen St George has more to look at, and probably more temperate than southern Idaho.

The boat was more than our first house purchased in 1986. Gotta wonder about my priorities these days. Some guys go for the hot rod, I just have one for on the water. Now if I can just talk my wife into allowing Bam Bam on it.

Sweet ride, I am finally over the sinus infection from surfing a week ago. Had a great time. The boat looks great, lets try to drink a beer again this weekend. Like I said before....Tige and trailer house...thats how we roll!

Nothing wrong with trailers. We rent ours out at the lake to pay for the covered boat storage and our space in the RV park for our motorhome.
Glad to see you got the V. Best drive around....
