Did you order the factory ballast with yours? I wish mine had it now that I am wanting to surf all the time.

Even if you put two 10cylinder Ilmors in, the boat will not break 50MPH.

            Timmy,

It is sitting next to a RZ2 and the RZ4 makes it look small. My 20I next to it looks like a toy boat.

My boat will be there today and Friday till noon. I'm taking it out Saturday in kind of hodge podge fashion. I'll be bringing it back to WWS Saturday night so it can get worked on next week. It's not nearly complete, I don't have the graphics wrap on it, my black 20inch rims are in the mail, and my window tint isn't done. (plus a whole bunch of other parts) The stereo has all the new subs, speakers and amps. However, they ordered in my threesome and accidentally sold my black 80's. So now I have a 485 in black and 80's in white. So needless to say it's going to look a little odd this weekend. My boats black and white so it will probably look intentional, but still lame. I have no graphics on the boat so you can really see how big the boat is. If you have time, go check out the stereo. I put some huge kicker amps in it (1500's) to power my subs(2 Kicker L7's) and tower (3-some). I did a kicker 850.4 for the interior plus 4 guage wiring throughout. We used kinetic batteries and now I've got to figure out how to keep everything cool. Check out the fabric on my brows, I got Tige to do them in Snakeskin. It looks awesome! I some freak"n excited and don't think I'll be able to work today.

I'll get some pics out to everyone when it shows up.

You have to remember that the 5.7 has a shorter stroke than the 8.1.

This means it will handle RPM better than the 8.1 thus giving it a better top end under load. so it only makes sense that the 5.7 gives a better top end than the larger engines. But I sure do like my hole shot with the 6.0L

I can't complain either about the performance of our 380HP 6.0. Plenty of power throughtout the band.
