    Tower light

waws just thinking it might be cool to have tower light but didnt know how hard it would be to do my self

You will have to run wire from a dash switch, up through the tower, out the top of the tower and then wire it to the lights, Kind of a pain but it just might be worth it.

You could use an untwisted coat hanger to push the wire up there a little.

        or

What if the wire you are using is magnetic and you slid a magnent up the side of the tower to pull the wire up???...just an idea, Any body else dose this before?

im guessing you cant just tap into the power for the light already in the tower

my guess would be that any tower lights that you wanted to put on your tower would require much more power than the little light that is already up there.. if that's what you're talking about.
If you ain't falling.. you ain't trying hard enough..

What about speaker power wires? Could you tap into its power lines?

Go to you Lowes or Home Depot and get a fish tape. I will not take you any time at all to pull the new wires.

I did it on my last boat.Ran wires for tower lights and speakers. Not hard just requires patience.I actually used a mason string(like kite string) instead of a fish tape.I tied a small nut on the end and dropped it from top to bottom. The exit hole was on the bottom side of the tower tubing and after a few shakes of the boat the nut and string fell out.A coat hanger used as a hook really helps.I also ran the wire threw the tower base and into the boat so I wouldnt have any holes. Good luck
---v^---v^---v^_____---v^---v^ For a second there. I was bored to death!!

The way I hear it most explained on Wakeworld is to put a piece of tape on the end of a long strand of dental floss. Use a shop vac to suck it through and then just pull it up with the dental floss. I have heard many folks say that did the trick for them when everything else failed.

so you can have the wire go through the base of the tower and then it wont have to show

Yes you can, it is like that on both sides of the boat.

I think Tequila also said a cotton ball tied to dental floss would work also.
