Dude I hear you I'm always the first one up trying to motivate everyone to get up....Noob's just don't understand the difference between glass and choppy water and what ..we are out of the house at 6:30am means
Put your hand on a hot stove for a minute, and it seems like an hour. Sit with a pretty girl for an hour, and it seems like a minute. THAT'S relativity. Albert Einstein

The GF finally said that if we aren't on the water on the weekends by 7, we ain't going.

It's only taken her one year to figure that one out.

True, but it took an experience for her to realize it.

Okay, she isn't the sharpest tool in the shed but she is trainable.

Thats one of the nice things about lake oroville. Its not so heavily trafficked. Although more people are starting to come all the way from SAC and Bay area because of that. Last year, you could find glass all the way up til about 10am on Saturdays. Now maybe 9am. The best time on the weekend is Sunday Afternoon, from like 6 to dark, and weekdays of course.

I think the best times of the day regardless of crowd is sunrise or sunset. There is no better way to start or end a day than on the lake, that is unless you start and end your day on the lake which is what makes my Powell trips so great.
My dad always said "Stupid Hurts". He's yet to be proven wrong, but for some reason I keep trying.

Ah, Utah Lake. That brings back many memories, I still love and miss that lake. The local lakes down here just don't seem to have the same "mystique" as Utah Lake.

I'm with OWN on the time of day, nothing beats a morning run at Powell while everyone else is still sleeping.

Maybe because you can still see your hand when you put it down 3 inches in the water . Utah Lake has so many moods, even in the same day. You would have loved Memorial day on your SeaDoos. The waves were 4-6 feet out in the middle.

Are you digging the Butter Board?

heck, up at 5, water by 6, beer in hand by 8, and then back on the porch, beer and eggs, then back on the water, that's how we do it in ok, but then again, we were the only boarders on the lake

Kids are enjoying the butter board alot. With four boards to choose from it can sometimes be a dificult decision, but the BB is almost always one of those chosen.

I like the way you do it. Heck We've done it that way a couple of times but its hard to get everyone else up and out that early. I don't know what it takes to get someone as excited to be on the water as I do. My wife still doesn't get it and she loves wakeboarding.

I guess there are two kinds of people out there. US and everyone else.

I'm still trying to figure out the idea behind drinking beer and eating eggs. The next day is always a smelly, stinky problem for me if I do drink beer and eat the eggs.

sorry, it was really just a figure of expression!

What's great is all the guys get up, and then when we come back the wives have food. I get the best of both worlds, no wife to nag at me, but all my "moms" cook me breakfast, since I don't have real parents there
