    lockable rear storage

Does anyone have problems with the lockable side locker latch? Mine turns so hard and the set screw never holds the latch in the correct place. I was thinking about adding another bolt and a couple of lock washers. Anyone have any other ideas?

Post a pic if you can. I dont have the lockable, but my port side was tough to latch and needed to be adjusted.

I always have problems w/ it. Check the engine dividers where the locks latch. I usually have to manipulate mine to get them to lock correctly.

I had to adjust my latch because it was so tight that it was digging into the gelcoat.

Here is a picture. There is a set screw on the latch itself. I was tinking about adding another bolt with some lockwashers.

Wake, here is what we did on mine. If you want, i'll show you Saturday

              1) remove nut (arrow)
              2) loosen set screw in latch
              3) turn latch 1 revolution counter-clock wise.
              4) now continue counter-clock wise til the latch lines up perpendicular with the handle. see inset
              5) snug set screw.
              6) close door and test lock for ease of turning. If still hard to turn, loosen set screw and turn latch 1/2 turn counter-clock wise and retest. Continue this until it turns and locks easy.
              7) tighten set screw.
              8) add Lock-Tite to nut threads and tight against latch (make sure latch doesn't turn when tightening nut.

EDIT: Since yours are Lockable, make sure the latch is oriented so that the lock is up when the handle is down

Did same way. Should not have to add anything.
