It's a problem everywhere. I think people should be forced to take a boater's safety class.
Just last night, we had 2 girls in a jon boat drive around us in circles while we were trying to surf. I had to stop several times just to avoid them. I think we were the only boats out on a 23,000 acre lake.Cursed by a fortune cookie: "Your principles mean more to you than any money or success."

Kingston, TN. I like that area and generally do not have a problem. I use The Little Emory River as it is generally very smooth, not much traffic. I put in at a private club just a little up river from the sand bar on The Little Emory. I occassionally travel down into Kingston, sometimes all the way down to Gillespie Island. Using the Clinch River or The Tennessee River has never been great as there is too much boat traffic and some of the craft are large. TN river is OK down by Watts Bar Dam but that is a little far to travel.
Check out The Little Emory River. Travel upriver from Kingston on the Clinch River, hang a left at Ladd Landing (don't go under the bridge as that is the Clinch River). Keep traveling upriver but stay in the channel around and past the Kingston Steam Plant intakes. Once you get past Sand Island stay left and travel another mile. There you will find some very good water.

OMG
WHY CANT THOSE DAM PARASITES (referring to jet skis) GO SOMEWHERE ELSE LIKE A MUDHOLE AND CHOP UP THE WATER THERE!
I went to Castaic over the weekend and let me tell you...I LOVE THE FACT THAT THEY ISOLATE THE PARASITES IN ONE ARE and the rest of the lake is all to us..unfortunatly water was choppy ALL freakin day lake sucks when it comes down to trying to wakeboard but overall its a cool hangout lake.
but if you see any parasites RUN THEM OVER!

Its nice that Castaic keeps them in one area but its always windy and choppy at that lake,Pyramid which is 10 miles north of castaic lets them go all over and it can be a nice calm lake without them.Theirs also Piru which is 10 miles to the southwest and they dont let them on the lake at all.I've had 5 hours of perfect water with only a handfull of boats---v^---v^---v^_____---v^---v^ For a second there. I was bored to death!!
