Is your lake Filled with Complete Idiots?

I sware Ever since Ive moved to TN, People will have these expinsive boats and they will drive it like they have never owned one before. Like there was one guy a couple days ago in this HUGE speed boat that had to be pushing 6-800 hp and About ran over (within 5 feet at least) 3-4 boats in a row and people that were swimming had to move, Because he would go right in everyones path. Same with the water bugs (jet skis), They will about run me over when im wakeboarding because the joy ride on my wake. And it scares me because if i fall they would go right over me! Is it like that where you are? There are only very few people that know how to do anything here

Yes, things are tough all over. Kind of like your spelling. Get in touch with your local enforcement agency and tell them about it. You can try to, as calmly and politely as possible, talk the people who are doing it, but it rarely turns out pretty.
You'll get your chance, smart guy.

We had that going on last weekend. We had a jet ski behind someone that we were pulling. They were wanting to pass and I signaled to our rider to look out and then they stopped. There are a bunch of people on the lake that do not know any better and a boating class should be in order for everyone before they drive a boat. IMHO

I was just about run over Sat. when I went down boarding. This chic was pulling a boarder and fallowed in right behind me. When I fell, I tuned around a saw this bow coming right at me She missed me by about 15 feet and never stopped or came back to sorry, my bad What's worse, there were 3 other guys in the boat, and not a one was watching where they were going. Bi'atch

The other week, we watched a guy launch his boat while the wife/gf stood on the dock and watched it float of the trailer and out into cove

Lake of the Ozarks is one of the worst places in IMO. Its impossible to boat down there durring the day, unless you are in the far end of the lake like 30mm and so on. Its huge lake with way too many people and way too many people with big boats and don't know what they are doing or are just drunk. The only calm places are no wake coves, but then you get wave runners who dont think that applies to them.

Recently at a local river my sister was boarding and this guy came up behind her and was trying to pass us. There were boats coming the other direction, ill give him that but he was right there and he didnt slow down or nothing. If she would have fell there would have been no way for that guy to turn fast engough.

Any idiot can buy a boat, any idiot can drive one also.

Now that i think about it there was this church van out at the ramp and they had no clue how to back the trailer in for the jet ski, they were nice and let us back in first before they did because they knew that it was going to take awhile but they got like 5 people on the back of the trailer lifted it up and backed the van in but they had lifted it up and walked it to the ramp since they had no since of direction backing in.

Last week while waiting to trailer the boat we watched in amazement as a meat head with a Nodic (great huh, Nordic without the R) tried to trailer it. There wasn't any wind but he would power up to the trailer and then crank the boat around as if the trailer was sideways, but nope it was straight. He would then throw it in reverse, almost hit the dock and then power forward. He ended up running over his trailer three times with this manuver. When he did finally get the boat on he realized the trailer wasn't backed in far enough so what does he do? Naturally he powers forward. We were all waiting for the boat to end up in the back of his truck. All very entertaining.

Our lake, which is pretty small is usually ok during the week. We probably piss off some fishermen with our wake, but thats what they get for parking in the MIDDLE of all the calm water. That said, we still keep legal distance.

On hte weekends it can get stupid. If I have someone following me in a run, and they are close enough to my rider or not paying a lot of attention, I'll usually just turn out or something. If they are paying attention and riding my rider, I'll just slowly throttle back and stop. Then when they ask, I'll tell them that they gotta back off. I have no intention of getting any of my friends or wife or kids or anyone chumm'ed up cause some other idiot doesn't know what their doing.

If its something consistent, I'll call the county sherrif and give them a hull number and a desc. I've seen them come out later that day and bust some people.

We still dont got the hull numbers on our boat but we have the registration in it with that 30day paper thing. So if i were (I dont though) to tick someone off then they cant get my numbers

The answer is yes. My lake is full of idiots.

I do not beleive in government regulation, but I have come to hope that a license to drive a boat might help things.

Its official. The lake of the ozarks is one of the most dangerous lakes in the country. 3 people drowned this weekend.

Thats probably because they were drinking on labor day.
