Hey G-Money, saw on another board last night where this dude orders a new boat (Nautique and way over priced imo) without telling the wife! The dealer calls and said your boat is being delivered three weeks early and he panics and tells her, now he's on the board whining that he's in deep shitz! LOL! It either takes some big cajonés to do that or a lot of stupidity, not sure which! LOL!

          OK ... back on topic!

The hole is smaller on the Ve's and RZ2

Oh, didn't realize the RZ's were different. I knew they had different coolers in the back but not compartment covers.

I did that. It was all I talked about for 3 months so I couldn't believe she was surprised when I pulled in the driveway on Christmas day with a new 2002 21V. We had some major issues with that. We have been married 17 years now. The worst part was me telling her how fun it WAS GOING to be while it was 45 degrees outside, and waiting 6 months before she actually agreed the boat was the best family tool we have.
                      Be excellent to one another.

Too many kids in my household so we don't even us it. It gets cleaned ever weekend but never used when the children are around.

I agree with everyone else: LONG LIVE THE V!!!!!

Yeah I had this problem. The day I took delivery of the boat it popped open several times on the tow home. I got tired of pulling over to close it. I did fix it however. Very easy. Let me know if you would like to know what I did and I will share, take a pic and send it too you. Since the repair it hasn't popped open once. "Very easy fix."

Regarding the cushion, I have only drove the boat once with it in place and had no problems. It seems to spend most of its time stowed on port side forward locker or in the garage.
I don't want to go to work, take me wake surfing instead!

I used two rubber plumbing faucet washers. Just remove the two screws holding the striker and install to small plumbing washers or equivalent and reinstall and problem will be solved. I used the rubber washer because the have some give and won't induce any rattles. Anything like that, that you can place in behind like a shim to move the striker more inboard to give the latch more to hold onto. See attached pic. Estimated repair time. 1 min.
It has worked great for my situation.

                                Great idea, mine opens too.

Does anyone have problems with the other side locker latch? Mine turns so hard and the set screw never holds the latch in the correct place. I was thinking about using another bolt and a couple of lock washers. Anyone have any other ideas?
