    RZ2 Questions

Took the boat out for the first ride and found a few things about it. One is I have the 400HP motor and find the hole shot sluggish, top end is okay. Also boat is very sensative to weight changes from side to side in the rear of the boat.If my son move from one side to the other the boat would pitch as much as 5 degrees. When I am in the boat alone it runs about the same pitch. When he did this the was 8 in the boat moving at 20 MPH. My old 20v was much faster out of the hole with the same top end and was less sensative to weight side to side. BTW it had a 335HP. Is any one else with RZ2's finding this?

I find that the width of the beam is very sensitive to weight distribution. I put all of my stereo batteries on the opposite side of the divers seat to balance the boat when I am in it.

I have the 340HP motor and I am up here in Colorado, my boat takes off like a mofo! I did notice the pitching problem but dismissed it as weird water....will have to investigate further.

I put mine (2) at the back on the same side as the drivers seat I thought it would balance with the two factory batteries.I am going to move them to the other side.

The pitching is very sensitive to side to side weight distribution. I think moreso on the RZ4. Found that even moving a person 12 inches would make a difference. There is a thread of pics of my RZ4 wake and you can see that one side is always a little washy.

You say that but I don't have that problem on my 24Ve. We have almost the same haul.

I think the difference between the RZ and Ve is the freeboard and the weight might be sitting higher up. I noticed it more this weekend driving in chop I had to get everyone moved around so the boat would not pitch too hard to one side other other.
