Thanks for the tip Matt. We do use the general 4-6gph rule.. but sometimes you forget so it's nice to have a somewhat working fuel gauge.. or at least one that lifts off of empty!

One sure way of knowing how much gas you use is to watch the hours. I typically use the equation of 6 gallons per hour.
I know that your gas gauge should tell you how much fuel you have but this is just another way to know.
Thats what I do. When I first got the boat, I measured its fuel economy, and it was almost exactly 6 gph. But you know how it is, sometimes you get out, and go, oh @#%#, what hour did I start at?
