Couple of Newbie questions......

I know I am going to take a sever beating for this but I do not have pic's from our maiden voyage. For some reason our computer is down. I knew it was on it's way out so now it looks like we may need to get another. Will post as soon as I have them.

The boat is absolutely awesome. The power is incredible especially for us coming from a 220 hp carb. I/O. We only had a chance to put an hour on and most of it was slow rolling as the lake was extremely rough due to 25-30 mph winds. We are really looking forward to getting out this weekend.

I will post pics as soon as we have them. Seanmcd I know I will owe you a Corona at the Naswa for the disappointement.

Wiinepesaukee: Is your hard drive okay or are you getting a loud chirping sound from it? Is the computer even turning on? Does it turn on and then reboot? Might be able to help you a little on that front.

The wind can suck the life out of any boating experience. How high were the swells from the wind?

The computer is just not powering up. This may be a good excuse to get the new Mac Book we have been looking at.

The swells were about 2-3 feet on average and the boat handled like a dream. We were so impressed. Definitely made the right ckoice getting the 24ve we are so excited to get out and really start using it

Well, that would give you a great excuse. Now you just have to find a way to get the data off the old harddrive since you will have a laptop. Good luck.

With the swells, what was your TAPS on when you were going threw them? I have my TAPS on 8 (it was broken and stuck on that) with 2 foot swells. The boat handled just fine at higher speeds but scared the children because we were taking water in over the bow. However, when we slowed down, the children were better off but seemed like the boat was going to sink. Now, I wasn't thinking this but tell that to a child that is 6 years old... But, I agree, the swells where not the problem in a boat of that size.
